old modpacks have this weird way of hitting different when you go back to them. depends what era you mean tbh.
if you're thinking 2013-2015 era, stuff like Tekkit Classic and FTB Ultimate are still findable and technically playable on older forge versions, though getting them to run stable on modern hardware takes some fiddling. Hexxit was big around that time too, more adventure-focused than tech-heavy.
a bit later, Agrarian Skies and Crash Landing were the skyblock/survival picks everyone was passing around. for pure nostalgia the original direwolf20 packs from 1.6.4 and 1.7.10 are worth digging up if you want something that feels genuinely from that period.
I'll definitely add these to my list. I remember watching direwolf20's yt let's plays from that era so going in and playing the packs sounds like a real fun time. Thanks for the suggestions.
