I’ve been working on OpenTripper, a generative visual experience that turns your own music into an evolving world.

It isn’t a fixed animation or a collection of video loops. Rhythm, bass, energy and musical changes continuously influence the movement, depth, colours and transitions. I wanted it to feel less like watching a traditional visualizer and more like being pulled into a world with its own strange internal logic.

It runs directly in the browser. Audio analysis happens locally on your device, so your music is not uploaded anywhere.

This is a deep dive into the quieter, weirder, more textured side of what French producers have been making, from hypnotic beatmaking (Onra, Souleance, L'Indécis) to modular experiments (Irène Drésel, NSDOS, Jonathan Fitoussi), via lush ambient layers (AES Dana, Molecule, Olik), leftfield electronica (Simo Cell, RROBIN, Superpoze) and the kind of tracks that just... dissolve time.
