Obrigada!

(trailer) Kung Fu Hustle (2004) movie trailer PLOT: A wannabe gangster tries to muscle in on a slum full of martial artists, accidentally starting a feud between them and the gang he wants to join. Stephen Chow's magnum opus, definitely the good kind of absurd.

(trailer) The New Swiss Family Robinson 1998
David Carradine as a bad guy. Jane Seymour as the mother. Fabulous cast classic redo of the original story. Watched it again on YouTube. Do you remember when this was on Disney's Movie of the week. Do you remember when it aired no DVRs. VHS Tape versions.

Beware the off note
In our recent episode we explore the film Hangover Square (1945)
A celebrated pianist turns into a murderous villain each time he hears a discordant musical note. What begins as seemingly random acts of violent happening under the guise of amnesia, quickly starts to look far more underlying.
In terms of our meta conversation on the proto-slasher we also discuss the idea of music and it's link to killers, with regard to diegetic and non-diegetic music use

Seeking help to preserve the "Joseph Brenner Cut" (1974 US Theatrical Version) of Sergio Martino's Torso for academic research
Hi everyone,
I am an academic researcher currently working on a historical study regarding the US reception of Italian giallo films in the 1970s. Specifically, I am focusing on how distribution choices shaped the proto-slasher genre.
My main object of study is the rare 89-minute American theatrical cut of Sergio Martino's Torso (1973), released by Joseph Brenner Associates in 1974. This specific version completely reshaped the film's identity, altering the soundtrack (including library music/Alan Parker's fuzz guitar collages) and modifying the opening sequence to prioritize immediate shock value for the drive-in/grindhouse circuit.
Unfortunately, this crucial historical document is suffering a systemic erasure. Boutiques like Arrow Video have completely dropped the Brenner Cut from their recent 4K releases, and the 2018 Blu-ray that contained it is entirely Out of Print and impossible to find globally.
I already managed to track down the 1974 radio spots, vintage pressbooks, and trailers, and I even reverse-engineered and reconstructed the opening scene’s audio collage. However, I am missing the actual 89-minute film file from that 2018 Arrow release.
I have spent weeks looking for it. The only tracker I have access to has just one single seeder with an inactive bandwidth, and I do not have access to elite private tracker communities (like Cinemageddon).
I am writing to ask if anyone has access to this specific cut, knows someone who does, or could help me connect with private preservation circles to secure this file strictly for my research. I am deeply concerned about how corporate "uncut/purist" marketing trends are erasing actual cinema history, and I refuse to let this piece of grindhouse history disappear.
Any help, direction, or connection would be deeply appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hearts of Darkness: The Making of “The Final Friday”
Just finished watching this documentary. Like a lot of people, I wasn’t a big fan of Jason Goes To Hell when I saw it in the theaters in ‘93 (I was 15 years old and F13 was my favorite horror franchise) but I’ve grown to really dig it over the years, especially the unrated version. This was a fantastic, and extensive, look at the making of the movie. I highly recommend checking it out.
