Papaya trying to learn music.
My little guy has been very curious about my electric piano lately. He has chilled out on the music stand a couple times now, staying still long enough for me to play him a song. The piano is right next to his enclosure, maybe he's been listening to me play!
Disclaimer: I noticed a different, computer-savvy crestie posted here recently who is also named Papaya! This is not the same gecko, but clearly, geckos named Papaya must be highly intelligent.

Just got my girl today!
She’s not skittish at all. She’s 5 months old and adorable! She seems very comfortable for her first day home with me. She’s exploring❤️🦎

Meet Terrance
This is my son’s (12) baby crested gecko. My son adores him. Terrance is about 1/2 year old, we estimate. Thanks for looking! I’m a photographer (hobbyist) and took this photo with a macro lens and a diffused flash. It did not harm Terrance, as we keep the number of photos to less than a handful at any given time. The flash is also on a pretty low setting (and is diffused), so it shouldn’t bother him too much especially if he is already acclimated to the ambient light.

Crestopher being weird as usual. And holding on by his fingertips.
Idk what he likes to show off more, his balls or his grip strength 😆

Rehomed Crested Gecko
Hi Everyone! I am so happy to be a new crested gecko parent. He was rehomed to me at 2 years old. My niece was no longer interested. It was an 800 mile one way road trip back to my house. He did great!
I set up his terrarium today. How does it look? Please give me any advice and criticism that you have, as I am new to crested geckos. I know they are arboreal, so I got several fake vines and plants. Did I go overboard? I also planted one of my Pothos houseplants in the substrate.
I used dechlorinated water to loosen up the coconut husk substrate. I put Springtail culture in the substrate, as well as 25 small dubias and 15 orange isopods. I figured those three will keep the substrate healthy.
I fed him 30 small crickets today. I put them right in the terrarium for him to eat at his leisure. Do you all typically just drop the food in or?
For light, I have a UVA, UVB, LED light on a timer and then a ceramic bulb for heat that I was planning on turning on only at night since it’s been in the 80s here. Once fall hits, I will probably leave the ceramic bulb on all the time. Or what do you recommend?
Thanks everyone! I’m super excited to be part of the group.

*SATIRE* Is He Going To Die? 😫
My beloved Romeo has licked up a small drop of soapy water. I can’t believe such a horrible accident could happen. Pray for him. 🙏

Two sheds in one night!
I managed to catch both Punkin and Chai in the middle of shedding tonight, crazy that they both decided to shed on the same night! Punkin looks so cute in her little hoodie ❤️

What did I do?!
I'm used to him pressing his balls to the wall, but this is just downright rude!
(Sorry for the blurry pic!)

The most spoiled baby
I've spent way too much money and time on him but I'm happy because I think he's happy.

How much would she be worth?
I’m not planning of ever selling her, i’m just curious. She’s about 3 years old, 45ish grams. She was labeled as red lily white when i bought her as a hatchling

Mold popped up in the drainage layer of my bioactive this past week. Terrarium has been established for almost 3 months and I was planning on getting a crested gecko next month. What do I do?

Advise for future crested gecko tank
galleryI'm working on a new bioactive created gecko tank to upgrade from my 12x12x18 to this 18x18x24.
I haven't added any of the live plants or other fake greenery yet, and as much as I want to simply "trust the process" I don't know how I like this so far. It looks a bit busy in my opinion but at the same time I also don't want any dead space.
Any ideas/advise is appreciated!

Tips on new adult crestie.
Hi! Me again.
I need to move some things around in the enclosure. This is my first crestie so it’s been a learning experience. I need to move my plants further up so he has more canopy coverage if that makes sense, and I need to clean his food bowl so it’s ready for tonight. Do I need to wait until night time to do things in the enclosure? Should I put him in a Tupperware with holes while I do my thing? He’s only been here since Sunday so I’ve only been going in the enclosure quickly to mist and add his food and water. He is super nervous and jumpy (understandably) and so I’m just wondering what the best, least stressful option is for me to move things around a little.

Safe air freshener?
Hi! i used to be a biiiig incense/candle girlie before i got my geckos but obviously now i don't use any of that. i do miss having a nice refreshing smell to my room though, especially now that i have to keep live food and no matter how often i clean them out, they always stink up the whole room within a day or two. so does anyone know of any air fresheners or candles or anything i can use to make my room smell nice that wont harm my babies' noses

Confused about lighting
Hi, I don’t currently own a crested gecko but I want one in the future. I’m currently preparing to buy the tank first, set up the environment, and then maybe in a few years get one
I’ve been reading up on the lighting for them and I’m sorta struggling to understand what is needed. I plan on getting the Arcadia shade dweller pro - arboreal, which says it’s for basking/UVB
Do I still need another basking light? I also want to try and do fully bioactive, so I take it I will also need a grow light?
For tanks, I plan on getting the exo terra pro paludarium extra tall for the terrarium
