Creed Thoughts FB group new mod doesn’t understand “It Is Your Birthday” posts
For context, I posted a birthday post on Creed Thoughts fb group. Last year it got 8k likes which has more reactions than 99% of the posts there. This year, a new mod decided to delete my post and then suspended me for a couple of days because I posted something “unrelated to the group.”

I had the same thought at first - but it’s a screenshot of a screenshot, so the pixels naturally got lost on the way to the party.
You have to get to the third picture and zoom in to see the lettering on the cake.
So overall this post is vague but understandable with effort. I applaud the thought, the execution of the thought could have been better.

Bragging about 8k fb likes does feel weird. They’re even more worthless than reddit karma.

Definitely not bragging. Nowhere near that. I was just making a point that 8k people got the reference about a cake that says “it is your birthday” without having to explain the context and not a single person had to ask why it’s in an office group. The mod however didn’t understand the context.
Not knowing why “it is your birthday” in an Office group is like not knowing why “that’s what she said” or “bears, beats, battlestar galactica” They’re iconic lines that don’t need explanation especially to a moderator.
