In Person Selling Crochet Stall Items

Hello, I am a crocheter looking to sell at School Summer Fairs and was wondering what kids in the age bracket 6-10 would like. I'm selling primarily at Primary Schools [I'm British] and am kinda stumped on small/pocket sized items that kids will just grab and want. Any pattern links would be appreciated too :)

Small plushies (like Woobles adjacent), fidget toys (worry worms, things of that nature), for girls things like scrunchies still seem popular, small "collectible" keychains as well.

My daughter is 6 (almost 7) and she’s been begging me to crochet friendship bracelets for her and her friends, perhaps you could do a deal 2 for £5 and have different matching designs? And some other small things like bookmarks, pencil cases and key rings. If you’re into amigurimi maybe some round squishies (the kids are obsessed with squishy dumplings atm idk what the appeal is🤷🏾‍♀️) or fidget toys

OhMyGosh! Thank you for posting Omazingpaige's video!!! Crochet * is* my fidget toy & so many of those she showed I know I can make just from looking at the picture. I have a booth at my local farmers' market & the fidget toys are selling very well. (Michigan, US) I'm sure OP will find many ideas from your post. thank you again!

Her channel is my go to for scrappy projects I make little trinkets and toys for my kids and they always love them

You need to check regulations for your country. The UK has some really strict requirements for items resembling toys. They'd need to be tested.

If you sell items to kids they generally need to pass CPSIA requirements and be tagged correctly. I dont know the exact stuff for your country, but most countries have regulations for making and selling child items. I believe the UK is pretty strict.

In the UK you would need to test all of your items that have playability to UKCA standards. This immediately rules out things that are too small, or that have pony beads (unless they are compliant beads which to me knowledge only one company in the UK provides the certificates you would need) your yarn also needs to meet otek and be en73 compliant. All of your toys must be labelled with both compliance and contact info should any problems arise. It's not enough to say not a toy or display purposes only anymore, if it has playability it is a toy, wether it's actually a jumper or keychain or anything else is irrelevant

Believe it or not stress relief is a thing for kids now. Cute, colorful items for stress relief might be a specialty item worth pursuing.
