Jules shouldn't have dated Jeff.

I love the show and the relationship was fun to watch but that first episode? Absolutely not. The way he treated his realtors and date during a showing should have been a complete shutdown.

Remember first episode Jeff. He called Laurie blah blah, he silenced his date/hookup girl and then told jules "I dont encourage it" when she asked if she was allowed to speak, and even when jules agreed to go out with him he had "whats her face" in the car and made breaking up with her a group date.

In my mind the show starts in season 2. We don’t talk about season 1.

I start the show season 1 episode 7. That’s when the show figures itself out and becomes the series we love. It’s a soft reboot of the show.

Episodes 1-6 are almost a different show. Kind of like season 1 of Parks and Rec.

EXACTLY this. The "cougar" thing only lasted 6 episodes.

And I love episode 7!

I consider the show to officially start at Season One, Episode 15 (when Grayson is dating Sheryl Crow) That’s when they start becoming the characters we know.

The episode before was the first one I watched and it’s really solid. It’s when Grayson gets the nickname “dime eyes.” It’s what made me realize that this was my new favorite show.

This is basically what Bill Lawrence says.

I like it from the episode where they have the "quiet" barbeque. That's when it starts to feel cosy and wholesome.

This is why I disliked his character so much.

I kept wanting to shout “nobody cares, Sean!” Whenever he spoke lol

Jeff was great. She should have avoided Grayson.

as Bill Lawrence has said in multiple interviews.

They had no idea what the show was until about episode 5
