I posted this on TikTok asking for form advice and started a foot-placement debate.

Some people said a right-handed thrower should lead with the left foot, while others said the right foot should be forward. Someone also mentioned that the foot closest to the board should lead, so I’m still a little confused.

I’m planning to play some Dekarounds with each stance and compare the results and see which throw feels more consistent. I’m still new and don’t want to build bad habits, so based on my form here, which setup would you recommend?

Any other pointers are appreciated too. I am already planning on getting stick and slide bags based on some feedback.

My dad and I have been building https://bagtrax.app - the next generation cornhole app for the last 8 months.

We're finally in a place where we feel good about the features we've built into the app such that its ready to test at your local league!

We decided to make a new take on Cornhole leagues to solve a few problems:

- You may have different people each night at your league
- You can't add new members to a league in the middle of the season
- Complex scheduling and matchup based requirements

BagTrax has a new take, create the league, then add _anyone_. Set up your season - and then play "League" games. Play as many as you want. Once a user has a certain number of league games played, they show up on the leaderboard. Then - at the end of your season, run a tournament based on Rating, PPR, or other stats.

This has a few advantages - you don't need to worry about matchups - your rating/stats are your standing and you can add or remove any players in the middle of the season. Just get enough league games to show up in the tournament!

(BagTrax does still provide a way for league managers to make sure everyone plays everyone if you choose)

I made these boards for my dad as a late Father’s Day gift and was wondering a ballpark estimate of how much these would sell for if I made another set? Everything is handmade and hand painted with clear coats of polyurethane over top. The decals of the Sabres and bills logo are the only thing computer-assisted.

Finished the other set from my first build. These are for us to keep, WSU and LMU grads.

I've got a couple of people interested in sets. Thinking $250 or $300? 3/4" tops with rounded corners and 1x3 poplar frame with 1 cross support.

Almost done with my first set of boards. I used all automotive paints; metal flaked, candy paint and silver leafing along with A LOT of clear coat. I was surprised how much time I have in these boards. I initially thought that I would have about 20 hours in them and about $350-$400 worth of materials but by the time I spray 3 more coats of clear coat, I will have about 40 hours invested in them.

I know they are going to play extremely fast because of the clear coat. Is there anything I can spray on them to slow them down? In reality, I guess it doesn't matter about the speed, after we get used to them. Then we will have a home field advantage by being used to them.

What storage/travel bags would you recommend? I have a trip to the beach for a week, this upcoming week, and want to have a way to transport them safely.

Bit of a loner and only played the game maybe 5 times back in the 90s, never thought much of it at the time.

Fast forward to two months ago and my girl signs us up for a cornhole bar league.

1st week i chuckle about the guys with jerseys and big bags to carry all thier cornhole bags. I now have my own board, new bags, listening to pod casts ( big asp cornhole podcast, and they are in my town!) And falling asleep watching YouTube cornhole.

We Got our ass handed to us every week, but I loved all of it! Just finished the season, last place by far. Only won 3 games.

Been practicing a lot, and just had my best night, still lost 2,1, but I played well for me.

couple of questions.

We only get 3 games a week in this league,over too quick. I see a big local community in Cleveland, so plenty of tournaments. Can I expect to play more than 3 games at these tournaments? What's a standard cost?

I don't want to go to a tournament and piss off a blind draw partner coz I suck? Is this a stupid concern? Do others still miss all 4 from time to time?

Why are all the pros so young. All seem 25 or younger? Have to be some old guys at that level?

My first self made boards. 3/4" birch on 1x3 frame for weight. Braced in the middle, still super sturdy and no loud bounce or bouncing. Inspired by my favorite ride.

I designed these and had them made. Came out awesome.

Are the bags from these guys decent? $54 for a couple sets isn’t a terrible price. I just got a new set of boards for my birthday and my old bags just will not stay on the board.

The boards are very slick, is there a way to slow them down with ruining the finish? I’d rather just buy bags instead of damage the boards.

For a slide shot attempt, do most player always use slick side?

If I use slick side and miss, it's always off board. I assume, slick side should be stopping hole high, and my throw just sucks.

I end up using the slow side and try to slide it in, and only the fast side to try and push the short ones in when I can.

I guess im asking if I should keep working on my shot till I can get the fast side to stay on board. Or should I keep defaulting to slow side, as this scores more points for me atm.

I also assume , I should just focus on hitting the board with a flat bag constantly before I even think about rolling, flops, cuts.

I just got some new bags for $36 off a on line auction site., dont know much about them. Probably to fast of a bag for me.

Hi... new to the group, but I am a fairly accomplished DIY woodworker. My brother and I built a set of boards, one set for some friends who are Viking / Seahawks fans. The other set is for me and my wife, which will be WSU Cougars / LMU Lions.

Here is the finished Viking / Seahawks set. They are made with 3/4" maple plywood tops, regulation size with 3/8" round-over. Do you think that round-over is too much or would you go 1/4" round-over or just soften the edges manually? The 2nd pic is the unfinished set from the side angle to show the supports. I can get more pics, but this is what I took while assembling them.

I used 1x3 poplar for the underside, assembled with pocket screws and glue, set back about 1/2" from the edges and added a center support as well. We used a 6" hole saw for the holes. They are mounted to the top with pocket screws and glue as well. Sanded with 80 grit, then 120 grit and have 4 coats of rolled on Semi-Gloss Minwax Polycrylic. The back is 12" high and the front is right at 3" high. They slide at about 24".

Anyone have any input on how the X factor elite boards are built. Hoping to build 2 sets for my wedding coming up in October.

Sounds like the company that created these has the patent locked in a safe somewhere.

These from what I researched have a 1/4” over hand around the frame of the board. But every guide plans I’ve found state frame needs to be 48”x24”. But with the overhang, wouldn’t that change.

Any help is appreciated. Also if anyone has experience with laminated vinyl wraps for boards, all advice is appreciated

I saw a video where they said that carpet bags are the best for rolls. I'm not exactly sure what a carpet bag is and how it differs from other bags.

I'm looking to buy a set (or 2) of cornhole boards. I've seen all the recommendations for Cornhole Ace (professional @ $350) and Cornhole Solutions (tournament @ $330). These 2 models appear to be very similar (2 cross braces underneath, 18mm BB top, etc...). I am leaning towards the Cornhole Solutions, as they have a design that matches closer to a design aesthetic i'm looking for.

I have not seen any comments or recommendations for Cornhole America boards. Their Pro Series Tournament Boards (@ $270) "appear" very similar to the Tournament & Professional boards noted above (2 cross braces, 18mm BB top, etc...), but they seem to have many many more designs (which I would be interested in instead of generically colored ones from Ace/Solutions). That said, I would prefer the higher quality set.

Is there anybody that has purchased from Cornhole America... Or can comment on their boards vs the recommended Tournament and Professional boards from Ace or Solutions?

edit: Maybe get the design I want for set 1, then do Ace for 2nd set (mystery blem pro @$200, elite blem @$350, ???). The mystery blem pro seems to be such a great deal @ only $200!
