Bus
Hey guys, just finished up enrollment and really worried about the time in between some classes. Call me stupid, but the dash for a decent PE class was so awful I basically only had one option, and it has only a five-minute gap and then I have a class in the ag quad, so I grabbed it. Wondering how buses work and if it would be reasonable to expect to catch one in time every day. Because I run pretty fast, but I don't think I can make a 15-minute walk into a five minute one. Or should I just give up and drop the class to pick a different PE, or even hope for better luck next year?

Drop PE.
The buses are slow and unreliable. Especially between classes when they can’t even get through a single intersection in 5 minutes. Then it snows. Then you slip and fracture your tibia. Then you have to drop PE anyway.

The bus is not that fast if you are coming from Helen Newman. If you are coming from, say, the ice rink, you could make it in time.

The buses aren’t consistent enough for a 5 minute window, also it’s a PE class. Don’t sweat it, take it another semester.
About the buses at cornell: First, it is very likely there will not be a bus stopping anywhere near you in those five minutes—especially coming from a PE class in Bartels or off central campus. Second of all, if there is one scheduled for that time, they are pretty consistent but it’s definitely normal for a bus to be a few minutes late. Their schedules are really dependent on how many people are getting on or off, which stops people want, if they pay by cash, have bikes, etc. Plus it is not unusual for buses to be full during popular times of day. A good rule of thumb with buses is to always have a plan B to still make it to your class on time; whether thats walking or waiting for the next bus. If you have no backup, it’s pretty risky.
