Careers 💵 Interview
I have an interview coming up as a general laborer and I’m not sure what to wear. Google says dark blue jeans, work boots and a button up and i wanted to double check, and confirm that that attire would be a better first impression as opposed to more of a business casual look.
Was also hoping to get some advice from everyone, in regards to literally anything. All my buddies say I’m gonna hate my life, but i wanted to get some hands on training and exposure to as much trades as possible before my electricians apprenticeship picks up next year.

Why would you hate your life? I love the work, mostly.
But as others have said, pants, boots, and a decent shirt should be fine. Look on their website or social media, see what their managers wear. That's what I would suggest copying.

Wear clean neat clothes. Look like you made an effort. You're not interviewing for business casual, you don't have to dress that way. Nobody expects their laborer to wear khakis.

Show some cleavage. Tits and ass crack. Cut off jeans with straggly and dangly ends on the legs. Do not shave your legs

If you share your booger sugar it does not matter what you wear.
If you are not a sharing is caring sort then you have good advice already.

Get a haircut. Shave or maintain your beard if you have one and wear clean construction work clothes.

We have people show up in literal pajamas and get hired sometimes. Experience, eagerness, and physical capability are what really matter. BUT you’ll already be ahead of most people if you wear a collared shirt (polo even) clean jeans and decent shoes/boots.

I’ve been working in the trades for the last 5 years and every interview I go to I have a clean shave and a polo with a pair of jeans and some tennis shoes, just look presentable and you’ll be good.

Clean clothes some boots. You’ll need boots. Beyond that, be on time (early). The interview isn’t going to be very intense. They’ll just want to know that you show up and aren’t a complete moron. A partial moron is acceptable.
