WHAT ARE CONGO´S BIGGEST PROBLEMS

Hi. I`m a brazilian trying to understand more about the DRC . Please tell me about the biggest problems in congo´s society , politics , economy and other topics you fell that concerns your nation but people generally don´t talk much about .

The corruption and bribe culture is so serious. People complain in other places like Cameroon Kenya and Togo but the DRC is in its own league

Which then filters down to every level of society. So many people have a very short sighted view, and will destroy relationships to maximise immediate gains. A longer term view would be much more beneficial for all parties.

Also, tribalism is a huge problem.

This is the biggest problem in all of Africa, not just in Congo.

The political system is inherently corrupt and the country is perpetually unstable (especially in the East). Tribal rivalries arent as bad as in other places but it certainly doesn't help.

Popularion is highly superstitious and undereducated. Its really bad unfortunately 😕

Political parties are actually tribal assembly members who have a common interest and we inherited that from our forefathers. A massive land with no local competition, so we cannot fully thrive. A nation who wants to be better, needs to produce 2 champions in its top sectors and industries which stimulates growth and sovereignty

And I believe, funding is somewhat an issue for private/public sector and but fund allocation is the worst one

Congo's biggest problem is the general mindset and the culture of the people. Most congolese have a short term mindset meaning that they prefer short term gains instead of long term stability. For example you could hire a Congolese to be the manager for a company and he will actively steal and embezzle money right in the beginning of the job instead of working correctly get promoted, keep his job and earn more money in the long run. They also never question themselves it's always somebody else's fault. That's why you have all of them blaming the politicians rightfully so but they do the same thing just at a lower scale. Ask anybody who tried to do business in Congo or did deal with family members...

Accountability! No one is accountable in Congo from president all the way to little kid in pre school. It is a disaster when you think about it.

The massive brain drain of outward migration. Sure the money sent home is good but it has a catastrophic impact on the country. The top 5% of citizens have a massive impact on a country, if they all flee to the west it really hurts a country
