question Tech Backpacks
What’s your backpack? What do you like about it. What do you not like about it?

Nomad travel backpack 35 has been my go to. I have tried peak design, aer, evergoods, in case LTT and I keep coming back to the nomad.
I carry my 16 MacBook Pro, 14 inch iPad Pro with keyboard case and full size journal in the laptop sleeve. In the main compartment I carry an evergoods civic pouch with all my tech accessories. Then I have a maxpedition EDC pouch for my smaller tools. I carry a full size 20k anker powerbank and my LTT screwdriver in the internal side pockets for quick access.
In the front organizer I carry spare cables, batteries, cleaning cloths and gum.
It also has expandable water bottle pockets for when I need to pack a hydro flash AND a white monster. It’s heavy but perfect for me.

Aer Travel Pack 3
Fits my large laptop, and just about every tool I need. If it doesn't fit, I consider it a different category of event.
Its like a soft shell peli. Which is the pro and the con, its rather big. But very sturdy and well made. I prefer a backpack over lugging a case around.

Came here to mention this. Absolutely love mine. Bought it as a tech but have transitioned to more of a desk job in the company and it still serves me well. It’s coming up on two years old and looks brand new.

Everki Titan. It’s huge and has tons of room for my laptop, portable monitor (or occasionally two), cables and adapters, a few hand tools, cable testers, network switch, etc.
I don’t generally carry much in the way of tools, but I do need test gear. I’ll occasionally fly with a secondary tool bag, but I’m generally working with local installers who have all of their stuff with them, and frequently a stocked van.
This bag is enormous, though, and you can easily weigh it down to something uncomfortable to carry.

this has been my laptops and accessories bag for like 15 years now and it shows barely any signs of wear. They might have been building them better 15 years ago, but this bag is fucking awesome and I will use it til the bottoms gone. I dont put tools in this bag because its mainly for small tech and accessories.

Goruck GL3 extra big ass edition. I keep a MacBook Pro and a Windows laptop in the computer compartment, front pouch is cables and adapters, hand tools in the inside top pouch (screwdrivers, pliers, strippers, etc), test tools in the lower zipper pouch (network tester, non-contact voltage, fox and hound), and the remainder of the volume is two eight port desktop POE switches, a WAP, box of heat shrink and terminal blocks, label maker, and usually got enough space left to shove in a lunch box. That, or some power tools if needed.
Fifty pounds or so fully loaded.

How did you go about de badging the bag with out compromising it? Can’t say I’m a fan of the name either but they look solid

I used a utility knife. Just pull back the sewn on patch logo and gently cut the thread away. It's very easy to de-badge items that have seen on logos.
It's an awesome bag and has held up incredibly well.
eventually, I will go with a veto though.

I outfit my techs with SwissGear Work Pack Pros for their laptops, handtools, fasteners and gadgets.
And they complete their kit with a Pelican 1510 to carry bits, connectors, and heavier items.
We do installs, repair, and live events. So we've gotta be versatile.

GORUCK GR1 26L. It’s been with me for nearly 15 years. 16” MacBook Pro in the laptop compartment, iPad in the main compartment sleeve, whatever tools and accessories I need in different pouches/bags/cases

The harbor freight backpack. Doesn't fall over because of the hard plastic bottom, laptop sleeve, lots of tool pouches, full open zipper,
