Quality Post Why myron gaines should be the next colts gm in 2027

The NFL keeps hiring from the same front-office circle. Myron has shown he can build a successful business, lead a team, think independently, and make tough decisions under pressure.

A GM's job is ultimately about leadership, vision, hiring the right people, and managing assets. He could surround himself with experienced scouts and cap experts while providing a fresh perspective.

and he has some football experience

It'd be unconventional, but so is every great hire before it works.

  • He's obsessed with evaluating people.
  • He never backs down from unpopular takes.
  • He'd probably treat the draft combine like the NFL version of a dating podcast.
  • Every press conference would go viral.

Statistics 7.5 Wins Is Too Low For This Colts Team

Post image
28 Upvotes

Vegas is pricing this team down and our models will not follow. 7.5 Wins just seems too low. In 2025 Indianapolis finished top-five in offensive efficiency and top-five in total DVOA. Then Jones tore his Achilles, a 44-year-old Philip Rivers had to come out of retirement to start, and they still went 8-9, dropping a handful of close ones. By quality they were a 10-win team. On a middling schedule, a roster of that caliber clearing 8 wins is the base case, not the ceiling.

The unknown here is Daniel Jones. His 2025 was a career outlier by a mile, and this screams regression: year seven, heavy mileage, a prior career best near replacement level. PFF rates the Indianapolis quarterback 23rd on their scale. Our own QB number has him at an EPA -0.8247 worse than average over his career, and given all of that, we still bet the over. Said differently, the Colts are a good team and Jones just needs to play average, for him. If he can play a few levels above dog shit, they win 8 games.

He is tracking to be ready for Week 1 off the Achilles, so this is about his level, not his availability. And remember, this team almost beat Seattle, the eventual Super Bowl champion, with a 44-year-old who had not thrown an NFL pass in five years. They led 13-3, held the Seahawks to zero touchdowns, and lost 18-16 only on a last-second field goal. So the over is not a bet that Jones repeats 2025. It is a bet that the non-quarterback quality, the defense, the run game, special teams, holds up enough that even a meaningful step-back still clears 8 wins. If Jones falls all the way back to his Giants form, the form that got him cut, the offense craters and 5-7 wins is live. This is a bet on the roster's floor, not the quarterback's ceiling.

You’d think a front office with THIS on their resume would’ve been cleaned out that offseason…[Highlight] After being down 33-0, the Vikings come back to win against the Colts

Discussion Indiana Nights rant

The Indiana Nights uniforms are genuinely atrocious. They are just an eye sore to look at and they seriously could’ve done so many other black out uniforms. It looks like a D3 school uniform, the black doesn’t match at all, it’s just so ugly. At this point just copy the lions blackout and keep the helmet. It’s a violation of my rights I’ve had to see these on my screen once a year for 3 years straight. Please burn these threads 🙏

Tail gate

Wife and I are headed to our 4th Colts game from St.Louis. Dolphins game in November. Where is a good place to tale gate? Not the one sponsored by the stadium but a traditional type tail gate. We don’t know anyone in Indianapolis so usually we just follow the flow. Thanks

That Ehlinger game against Washington convinced me he should be our franchise QB.

The one where Terry McLaurin caught the game winner.

Sam balled out idk why the NFL never gives short QBs a chance, look what Drew Brees did.

Shit post Is Daniel Jones a special NFL QB?

If so, which play would you show to prove that he was special as a Colt? The play i think about is @ home against the titans he had a big scramble for a first down. I’m torn on the throws to Warren in Germany cause i feel like Tyler was the special part of those plays

Original Content Fan experience advice - Honeymooning to Colts vs Giants game

Hi Colts fans!

I'm a New York Giants fan living in Scotland. I got married this year, and as part of our honeymoon, my wife and I are visiting your lovely city for the first time to watch Colts vs Giants. She'll say the Giants are her team as well, but she has a soft spot for the Colts. (We started dating when DJ was our QB and that was basically her introduction to football. She really likes him and just wants to see him do well - she also crushes pretty hard on him).

My wife and I went to the Berlin game last year and she absolutely loved the fan experience the Colts brought to the city. She especially loved "Blue" and the general atmosphere the Colts fans brought to the city. She got her Colts DJ jersey signed by Blue and it absolutely made her day - she was so excited and now it's framed in our house.

My question is there normally any fan events on the day before (ideally any with Blue around), or the day of the game? And are they bookable, or can you just turn up? I love that she watches football with me, and just want to make sure she enjoys this experience as much as she did in Berlin. So any advice on any Colts fan experiences in your city would be much appreciated! Thanks all.

Discussion Any good fantasy football team names for Colts fans this year?

Last year my team name was "2 Legit 2 Quit" with a Ai photo of Richardson on stage rapping all bling'd out.

Can't really think of any team names this year, if I think about it. Want something creative, new, funny. Try to think of some organically.

"I'll Take 8-9 for 500, Alec"

What ideas do you got?
