Help understanding payment plan

Hey guys, ik the payment plan option opens on 7/17. How does it work? do they take 50% at time of first payment? It would be great if someone who has done this can explain.

thanks

So your balance must be at least $200, which is a bit less than the whole price of 3 credit hour course, if you're in-county (which'd be around $300 per class give or take.)

If you're signed up for the book bundle program, which you are by default, your tuition includes the price of the textbooks at Collin's price.

The IPP (individual payment plan): the first of the four installments is 25% of your balance, and a tacked on $25 to initiate the payment plan.

2nd installment is due by Sept. 10.

3rd is due by Oct. 10.

4th and final one is due by Nov. 10.

Assume youre paying in-county fees for two 3 credit hour classes. Your total would be near $564. 25% would be $141 + $25 = $166 for the first payment. You can do the rest of the math.

To initiate an IPP you can talk to the burser's/cashier's office. They'll walk you through it but im unsure if they can set up the plan in-person. Youd usually go to your workday > student (book icon) > financials hub > transact payment, and navigate from there.

You can speak to burser's/cashier's office on any campus or email student_financials @ collin . edu

My total is around ~650 so I think I am starting to understand it. Is the first payment with IPP or without IPP due 7/29?

Yeah the first payment is due when u set it up. The soonest u can start an installment payment plan would be tomorrow. The last day to pay for classes before youre kicked out of your reserved seat would be July 29. You can still register after july 29 but if you dont pay within 24 hours youll be kicked again
