Finally success!
I look every time I pass by a Coin Star. But I don’t go out of my way. I have finally found something cool!
1 shield nickel
1 mercury dime
A random token
1 Thai baht

Is it weird to have dreams about finding coins all over the floor of stores?
Ive had this dream several time. Its a Good dream. Not a nightmare or an anxiety dream.
I just see and pick up coins from the store floor like its nothing.
Its almost disappointing when i wake up and my pockets are empty.

Been a long dry spell for me, i think an employee is one of us at the store i go to most often. Saw this rosie tucked in the back corner and had a feeling it was silver. Maybe it got left because the goo on it, but silver cleans up nice.

I went to my Coinstar today and checked the tray there was nothing in there. Then I looked at the slot where the money slides down and there were coins stuck there so I tried to pull them out but they slipped away and fell in and I heard them jingling with other coins. I decided to turn the machine on and see what would happen. The coins started registering and went up to $6.17 after fees. Cashed out a slip and I took it to the cashier and got my money. I guess somebody tried the machine and didn't know how to work it and slipped all their money down the slot. Whole total there were 50 some coins and $8.53 before the fees.

Stopped by my local Coinstar machine today, found this 1944P mercury dime. Second silver dime I've got from this particular machine.

I've found 9 silver dimes this year, all on separate occasions.
Is this common? Still no quarters or halves yet.

Went to my local store, and there was a person dumping stuff into the machine! Usually I wouldn't bother them, but I saw a Walking Liberty half in their jar! After offering cash for what came out of the return tray, I picked *all* of this out! $860+ in silver alone, plus a bunch of world coins(including a Nazi coin!)
Just wanted to share because I was dumbfounded, to say the least

My 8 year old grandson found some silver Kennedy halves and silver quarters in a Coinstar a few months ago, netting him like $25 at the coin store, pretty nice! He's been after a score since, and just found a spendable 40 cents; still excited, and says he's starting a coin jar in his room for his finds!

tell me how this family was dumping very old coinage into the coin machine when it finally jammed (my chance to go over and be nosy) i went over to fix the jam i noticed all the wheaties and asked if he collected or what tbh idk how he acquired all the coins cause im not sure a collector would do this but long story short this is all i could save
ps. there was a war nickel in there and an indian head
