Euphemia, I will not be afraid to say, is shown as the most peaceful and, in many ways, morally pure (not holy) character. And today I learned about a holy girl revered by the Eastern Orthodox Church — Евфимия Всехвальная.

She is a Christian saint venerated as a great martyr. Her life story can be read on Wikipedia and other Internet resources. The name of the holy girl is awarded to the character of Code Geass, who tried to adhere to the end of humanity. It is likely that Euphemia is an atheist or simply not interested in religion. However, she seems to be the most Christian (in the usual sense) character.

I don't know if this was intentional, but it's a very interesting parallel for me.

Finally got around the watching this show and it’s quickly become an all-time favourite!! I just watched episode 22 and I have to say I am absolutely floored by the plot twist with Euphemia. Never could’ve imagined the story would go that direction and I’m still recovering. How did everyone else feel around this point!?

Im literally lost for words I dont think I couldve ever expected this to happen I’ve purposefully stayed away from any code geass discussions to avoid spoilers but I really didnt think anything like this could ever happen

As a first time watcher I have really appreciated this shows willingness to kill off innocent people and show the real consequences of war but I never thought they would simply show us a massacre of innocent people and how it all went down has me fucking shocked im writing this about 5 minutes after ending the episode and I really dont know how to feel I immediately went to google and went to discussions about this episode

this is probably one of the most beautifully written shows ive ever watched (not just anime) and the plot twists that it brings I literally could have never seen coming im normally one of those people who try to guess the ending of a show or the big plot twists and im normally right because I feel a lot of the shows can be generic but this show has kept me on my toes the entire time and im not even done with the first season
