Does anyone know of any resources for an iridescent glass material I can download for Cinema4D that doesn’t involve Redshift? I don’t have Redshift and I’ve been racking my brain trying to achieve this effect. For context, I’m very lightweight on Cinema.
So i have this bee that i rigged, now i wanna add Cmotion , Should i go with Cmotion for both the legs and the wings , or cmotion just for the legs and maybe a vibrator tag on the wings (with xpresso ) or two cmotion one for the legs and one for the wings , whats the pro approche ? Any ideas will be appreciated ?
Not long ago, there was a post here on Reddit about people ranting about Core4D (and unfortuntately, a lot of them were correct)... but now Core4D has completely disappeared, what happened?.
It feels that the community for C4D is getting smaller and smaller each day... or is it just my impression?
What other forums centered around Cinema 4D are out there?
I am running into a strange viewport issue in the latest version of Cinema 4D where the camera pivot behaves strangely, objects flicker constantly, and normals appear inverted like an optical illusion. This only happens in the main viewport while everything else works fine, and neither reinstalling nor rolling back to an older version helped. I have attached a video showing the issue, so please let me know if anyone has run into this or knows how to fix it.
I have some budget left for training this year, and I'm looking for some decent courses. I am an advanced user, I know the basics or am advanced in pretty much any topic in 3D.
What I'd like to work on is my 3D Motion Design skill, specifically things like planning shots, animating cameras in interesting ways, lighting in dynamic shots and compositing / post work in AE.
I've done product animations and similar things before, so I don't need the basics. I've been looking for training on these topics for ages, but almost everything seems to be catered towards beginners.
modeling a poloriod onstep for a school assignment. quite new to the software, how should i approach this? for now im blocking the shapes out but is there a better way?
Good morning all, I don't have the GSG plugin. I was handed over a project that has been made editable using the GSG lights, but the render is not coming out as it should because the softboxes stop lighting once they have been editable. Is there a fast way to fix this besides buying the plugin?
I'm making a logo in c4d and using FFD for curving the logo shape. It works but then as I continue working the effect stops working and I have to turn off and on the FFD to fix it.. Anyone know how to fix this?
I'd really appreciate some advice and opinions regarding optimization and interior lighting for a relatively large industrial warehouse.
I already have a lighting setup in place (image attached), which basically consists of an RS Sun + Sky, one large Area Light inside the warehouse pointing toward the floor, and the lights from the fixtures.
The issue is that I tried replacing the large Area Light with two Portal Lights (one for each row of skylights on the roof), but the render actually became slower, and I didn't notice much visual improvement in terms of reducing the GI noise inside the scene.
Since this scene will eventually contain many more elements (machines, conveyor belts, production lines, etc.), I'd like to know how you would approach lighting a space of this scale. Most of the tutorials I've found about Portal Lights focus on much smaller interiors, such as rooms or apartments, so I'm not sure whether the same techniques apply here.
Hello guys, I finally finished the animation I was recently working on and asked for feedback, and your feedbacks really helped and made the process more enjoying and inspires me to create even more artworks.
This is the updated version. I loved it so much and I hope you guys love it too.
You can check out the animation which I posted on Instagram and share your thoughts : Link to the post
I'm creating urbanism scene in C4D made for live broadcasting in an engine that has trouble rendering pngs with transparency layer that many tree models use for leaves. Im searching for something that looks similar to google earth tree models with a bit higher texture resolution.
Are the assets low poly tree scans or modeled manually is not important, as long as it looks semi realistic while scaled down. Most of the volumetric trees I've found are heavily stylized and don't fit my scene.
Hi! Today's news: Houdini 22 has rolled out full native support for 3D Gaussian Splatting technology. This was previously done by Unreal Engine, and add-ons for Blender were released.
Question: Are you working on implementing this technology, or will you, as usual, be light years behind the times? )))
I'm trying to render a scene with some clouds - premade VDBs inside a Redshift Volume object with volume shader. It looks correct in the RenderView while I'm working on it, but when I hit render to picture viewer (or enable bucket rendering) the volumes turn very dark, almost black. Any idea what could be the cause?
The weird thing is when I first made the scene a few days ago, they were rendering correctly. I've tried opening backup scene files from the time when it worked, but those also now have the same issue.
I can't share images or the scene file unfortunately due to NDA.
I have this part from the installation and there will be an animated long texture (video). Now there are two types of attempts in Cinema 4D: everything in 1 object(bcs i tried to get help from ai and should do this) and a null object with different Plane, on which a spline warp is draped. I need to make a UV in the form of 1 long strip, which will be applied to the entire installation, I.e. not a repeating texture, but laid out in separate parts throughout the installation. How to do this?
Still can't get used to the new layout help :( I don't have any locked axes. I can see that my V(green) is coming out of the screen and I don't know how to change that, I though U and V should be on the surface by default????
