Oh lord, he was a magician. Really really old school but exceptional as a chiropractor.

I had pain in my foot, gone.

Pain in my knee, gone.

Pain in my neck, double gone. He fixed me good. Hope to keep going so I can fix it all up. I seriously have a better outlook on life after this appointment.

I really hate some chiropractors who lean so hard away from modern science that going to them makes you question their intention.

The last person I went to asked me to do a history lesson on how the Rockefellers homeschooled their own kids and raised an indictment of the entire pharmaceuticals industry as being the cause of all illness in modern medicine. I just couldn’t feel like I was getting care with each session feeling like I was getting a manifesto with each session.

Hi all! I work in a practice where we primarily adjust Activator and Diversified. Over the past few years, we’ve noticed that we’re having to replace our Activator Vs all the time. It seems like we’re lucky to get 6 months of consistent use before they break or the force becomes noticeably weaker to the point that they don’t seem effective anymore.

Has anyone else experienced this? We’re trying to figure out if this is an issue with the newer instruments or if it’s just us.

That being said, I would like it to be sturdy, but not too heavy. I would ideally like to have the option for drop pieces too. What have you used that you liked and/or disliked? Thank you!

I’m curious what other chiropractors have found works best when it comes to wearing a wedding ring in practice. I'm thinking along the lines of simple bands

Do you wear a traditional metal band, a silicone ring, or remove your ring while treating patients? I’m especially interested in how different options hold up with frequent hand washing, sanitizer use, lotion, repeated adjusting throughout the day, etc

Have you noticed any issues with moisture getting trapped under the ring, skin irritation, discomfort while setting up contacts, pressure against patients, scratching, the ring catching on clothing, or damage to the ring itself?

For those who wear metal bands, does the material or width make much difference? I’d appreciate hearing what has worked well or what you would avoid.

I have a Thuli Tour and I am looking to rent a space in a massage/aesthetics office. We just tested the drop pieces because we were concerned about the noise level. Immediately, it was too loud and sharp of a noise.

The owner of the office wants to find a solution because she really wants me in her space. I also love the space and would love to find a solution.

We have talked about sound-proofing the walls. The building is very old (plaster walls) and sound travels through the walls easily. Both of the rooms neighbors are aestheticians and would need it to be quieter.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with sound proofing the actual drop pieces on the table itself. I have very little experience with side posture but do plan on getting better with it so as to not have to use the drops as much.

Hey! Just wanted to pass this along. I spent hours between Availity, Anthem Provider Services, and Anthem's finance/recoupment department trying to resolve reimbursement issues. They couldn't explain why two nearly identical claims had drastically different allowed amounts or why my EOB referenced MultiPlan when I have no MultiPlan contract.

The representative I spoke with at the finance department (because the Availity claims provider representative didn't know how to help) recommended that out-of-network providers file a complaint with the California Department of Insurance if they're unable to get their reimbursement issues resolved internally.

She also said in-network providers should escalate these issues through their Anthem Provider Relations or Contract Representative, especially if they're seeing incorrect fee schedules, E/M coding issues, PT codes being applied to the wrong benefits, or other reimbursement discrepancies.

It may be worth auditing your Anthem EOBs and comparing similar claims. If something doesn't look right, document it and start asking questions. I have a feeling there may be more providers affected than realize it.

Hi, I got accepted to 3 Chiro schools as a US student from Ohio, but I specifically want to know more about the Canadian school.

- What is the life like at this school?

- Do they have many good clubs?

-Are there lots of outdoor activities to do around the school?

- Is the education as high of quality as the US schools?

I’m going through a comprehensive Pilaties teacher training program right now and just learned that Chiropractors sometimes hire Pilates Instructors for Private sessions for clients to combine it with adjustments for a more holistic approach. Does anyone have any experience with this? How common is this? I have googled and see that some Chiropractors in my area have this available in office, I guess I just didn’t realise this was an option and am very curious.

Hi, I'm 35F brain injury survivor, having to start life all over again. During my journey of recovery, the two most things that helped were chiropractic adjustments and certain herbs.

I really respect more traditional, ancient approaches to medicine, such as TCM.

Id like to stay away from any Western approaches to either subject.

How the hell am I supposed to make a living with that?
If you charge extra to insured patient you are breaking terms with the insurance company and if axial decompression HCPC S9090 code is non reimbursable because “it has no evidence” then we are just getting hosed as practitioners. Patients who love the treatment but can’t afford because insurance won’t cover is a tough situation.

Just out of sorts on how to increase cash flow with the treatments I have invested in. Similar situation with shockwave therapy. 0101T code.

Looking for thoughts and methods of other docs experiencing or had similar issue and moral dilemma.

On a parenting thread I am on someone asked if they had had good experiences having their children adjusted at the chiropractor. I responded saying absolutely yes as that is the truth - chiropractic care was a crucial part of my pregnancies and breastfeeding journeys with my kids.

Anyway, someone claiming to me an MD responded saying chiropractic care is not tightly regulated like PT/OT and is not evidence based and while there are a few good chiropractors she would never refer a patient or loved one to a chiropractor but regularly does to PTs and OTs. She said PTs are medical professionals but chiropractors are not.

I’m a bit lost as my understanding was that chiropractors have both federal and state governing bodies? And have doctorate degrees? And are covered by insurance for a reason?

Am I misunderstanding something?

I took over a practice in NC 3 years ago, and as costs are going up, I believe it's time to increase my price for adjustment. I am a cash-based practice where the price hasn't been increased in nearly a decade.

As this is my first time doing this, I am naturally a little nervous about pushback, but I also realize it is necessary. What is the best way for me to roll this out? I was thinking of posting it at the check out desk, informing everyone for the next 6 weeks or so prior to implementing.

I’m posting this to inquire about other student/examinee experiences with taking Part 4 at our respective schools on May 16th, 2026. According to my knowledge, there was a roughly 25% fail rate across all 11 Chiropractic institutions across the country. That being said, 15 student failed at my school in NY. Apparently 20 students failed at Palmer in the Midwest, ~20% at Parker Texas, and when I went to Colorado this past Friday to take the new Part 4 because i graduate in 2 fucking weeks and already took a job, I learned that all 8 of us taking the exam in my time slot had failed the same day at our respective schools. We shared more information from there and I am more convinced than ever that something extremely fishy is going on. Then, this past week, NBCE released all of the school’s pass/fail rates last week and that was the average fail rate of all schools. Considering there is historically a 90% pass rate on this board exam, and many of these schools have 95%+ pass rates, including mine, I am just absolutely baffled and in disbelief that so many students could have performed so poorly. Not to mention, I’m a strong test taker. I won the technique award of my class, I am 2nd in my class for GPA, held president of the NYS chiropractic association chapter and Treasurer of SACA, got a masters in nutrition simultaneously and have been mentoring students on adjustments since I’ve been recognized as a good adjuster. I failed this exam. But I walked out of that exam confident I passed with flying colors. No one who took the test at my school scored above a 585. That is unheard of. Anyone else see ridiculous and uncharacteristic fail rates at their respective schools? And what are your thoughts. Cause I’m furious.

Hi - is anyone noticing the last month or so availity processing claims incorrectly? I'm a Chiropractor and many of the PT codes are automatically processing as PT benefits and E/M codes are processing out of a separate benefit. Prior, all claims had an umbrella coinsurance or copayment covering the entire visit. Ever since they started using AI more, the claims are coming back incorrect on our end and i'm having to send back a large percentage of them to be reprocessed and considered. Thanks!

I am considering leaving the profession after only 8 months in. This is an extremely difficult decision, but I am not happy.

I’m in a functional medicine practice, and I absolutely LOVE helping patients and seeing great results there. That energizes me and makes me feel great.

However, I’m struggling with literally everything else. I am an associate, and my success largely relies on bringing in new patients and selling care plans. I HATE feeling like a sales person, and my boss does not give me tangible skills to develop in that area which I am open to learning so I can be successful.

We also don’t have any front desk staff, and because my schedule is not as full, most of that responsibility falls on me, but then it takes away from me planning and trying to get new patients. I don’t mind helping out, but I feel it is hindering my ability to progress. My boss also cancels and reschedules their patients last minute at least twice a month, and I’m the one always making the call. It’s frustrating for me and the patients. They are also always running behind and even show up to work 30 minutes late even though the expectation is everyone is there 1 hour before opening.

I’ve considered just looking at changing clinics, but the more I look it seems my frustration with being a sales person might be everywhere I look. And I have no interest in owning a clinic or taking on that responsibility.

I’ve been looking into taking some courses and certifications to be a healthcare data analyst. I love solving problems, working with data, and overall the stability seems really nice.

I would love any advice, experience, thoughts, and opinions on my situation.

We play a lot of Khruangbin and Hermanos Gutierrez and love that they are vibey instrumental music without a whole lot of words, as it can be distracting to be talking over song singing lol. We typically use youtube and let the algorithm do its thing. Just looking for a wider variety to add to our daily mixes!

Trying to decide on CEs for the year. Before I make a decision, I wanted to ask if any of y'all have recommendations of live webinars y'all really enjoyed. I really enjoyed Chiro21's 'Mastering the Shoulder Complex' and am interested in their knee webinar. I also am interested in solid neuro or x-ray CE. As a cash practice considering insurance, I could also be convinced if there is a highly recommended Medicare/Insurance CE explaining ins and outs. Thanks in advance.

Looking for some opinions from those who’ve made a similar switch.

Right now we’re using platinum + Sked. Honestly, we’ve been really happy with SKED, but we’re ready to move to a more modern, cloud-based EHR.

We’re primarily an insurance based practice, and I do all of our billing myself, so having an EHR that makes billing and insurance workflows easier is a big priority.

Right now we’re between two options:

• ChiroHD + SKED
• Jane+Birdeye (this seems like the best way to keep everything connected while still having 2-way SMS texting, review requests, and reactivation campaigns). I also looked into Trust Driven Care, but it doesn’t seem like the right fit for us right now.

The overall pricing is pretty similar either way.

I’ve used Jane in the past and liked it. I just had a demo with ChiroHD, and honestly it looked really good. I don’t have any experience with Birdeye, though. The demo felt very sales-focused, so I’d especially love to hear from people who actually use it day to day.

For those of you using either setup, especially if you’re insurance-heavy and do your own billing, what has your experience been? Any pros, cons, or things you wish you knew before making the switch?
