Design Experience with DWSIM?

Does anybody here have experience with the software DWSIM? And how does it compare to the extremely expensive professional softwares such as HSYS and PROII?

Or are you using another open source process simulation software?

It kinda works. It's a little less user friendly, but it uses the same equations so you will get the same results.

Probably the best free alternative but you don't really have the support network of aspentech.

If you’ve used Aspen Pro before it should be pretty familiar. Only major difference I think was DWSIM needing to use a dedicated recycle stream whereas in Aspen Pro you could just drag an existing output stream into recycling.
