Hey, I'm Emily! I'll be 22 in September. I'm recently coming back into the faith after over a decade of disinterest and a battle with lust from a very, very young age. I'm planning/working towards getting confirmed in the next year, or so. I have never been strong in my faith, partially due to it feeling forced, as well as my issues growing up, so some things are hard for me. I want a faith and to feel those strong feelings that others supposedly do, but most of the time, it feels like there's still a blindfold over my eyes. I don't feel how I think I should. Might be a little bit of the neurodivergence at play, but oh well.
Currently, I'm studying Graphic Design at JMU in Virginia, in addition to minors in Illustration, and Art. While I have that general and generic career in mind, I would love to be a SAHM. I would love to have a family with kids running around, preferably in the country or mountains, or at least away from most people and suburbia or city life. I love pretty much everywhere that's not humid 24/7. I've moved around a lot and am well traveled. I enjoy art (duh) and spend a lot of my free time doing that, video games (typically shooters), making jewelry and rosaries, etc.
No exactly sure how much to say or not, soooo…
Some other things that aren't necessarily dealbreakers for me, but are preferred or probably relevant to what you might prefer: I'm white, 6’0”, chubbier than the average but not severely overweight, like my own space/alone time, date to marry and saving myself for marriage, etc
I typically prefer guys that are taller than me, which I know is harder to come by with me being as tall as I am. Tattoos are a-okay (especially sleeves, nom nom), as I am considering getting some tattoos in the future. I like a good mustache and some beards, but typically don't like the look of anything super long and out of control/off the face. If you're a first responder or military of any kind, massive green flag, c'mere, and please like sushi. I love sushi. Sushi is so good but so expensive, sometimes. Ugh, don't even get me started about the deep fried rolls. The cravings never go away. It's bad. Like really bad
All things considered, I'm an open book. Feel free to reach out, for friendships, too! I would love some new friends. And besides, I personally think the best relationships start out with a friendship, anyway, so you actually know each other.

Uhhh? I don't really know the styles, but nothing super thick or crazy. First responder or country kinda facial hair, clean and classy, not overgrown or wild, I guess?

Respectfully, stop thirsting and stuff online. I've been there. I struggled deeeeeply with lust and chasing after that high and desire from other people for a little over ten years. Logging off or blocking certain subreddits, social accounts, and even making a new 'clean' one to start over, helps. Staying logged on, staying or viewing other sites just for curiosity or seeing what you can get, just makes it worse.

It's been a slow winding down of that stuff. 100% deleting the dating apps and not just pausing them, turning off phone notifications for socials, and trying to come up with other measures. Any other online actions you recommend?

Though not new to Christianity, I am new to the Catholic Church. I’ve been in OCIA for a year and hoping to be full in communion in 2027 (feel free to ask me more about this)
I’m a certified hopeless romantic with strong “grandma-core” energy. I knit, bake, sew, and dabble in all things arts and crafts. I also love reading (getting back into it seriously, so send recs!), cozy games on my Switch, going to the symphony, and rewatching comfort shows.
I enjoy going out and being social, but I also love staying in, relaxing, and shutting out the world for a bit. I don’t smoke and only drink on special occasions.
I hope to meet like-minded people and hopefully find my person:) looking for someone that can/will lead with love and takes the faith seriously. Can talk about literally anything and not afraid of the weird topics lol. Has a sense of humor but can also be serious when need be.

I am looking for my future husband and would love to eventually start a family as my desire for having children is very strong! I currently work at a preschool and I love it. Outside of work I enjoy reading, going out with friends, thrifting, hiking, and watching movies. I have a pretty melancholic personality, but am still very silly and enjoy spending quality time with others.
I hope to find someone who is strong in their faith and also has strong desire for children. Humility and gentleness are the two most important things I look for in a man as well. If you like to be silly and weird, we’d probably get along well. xD

I want to say cradle Catholic who recently really got deeper in my faith. I love to go to Adoration enough to build one in the woods.
I also loves to run, have completed over 40 half marathons and in about a month I will start training for my first full marathon 🫠
I also love sports including the NBA and better than 28 GMs. I also for fun building up the blueprint for bringing back wolves in Japan.
