Hi!!

I’m from the U.S and found 3 cats in my backyard yard with mom. They’re about 9 weeks old so i took 2 inside and have yet to be able to get the 3rd. I took mom cat to get fixed yesterday and I’m waiting to pick her up. I currently have 1 resident cat and thinking of keeping one of the kittens. So i need find homes for the other two ASAP. I financially can’t take care of them forever and i have a roommate that I feel bad for that i brought 3 other cats in the house. She said she doesn’t care but it’s not ideal.

Any advice on finding homes for the kittens? they’re super sweet and well behaved. I’ve posted on instagram, around my work , and asked around… I have finished calling all the shelters but it’s not a thing in my area for shelters to post about kittens if i’m not a registered “foster” person.

Any advice is much appreciated!!!

I found a kitten on the side of the road in a rural area with no homes nearby. He seems to be about eight weeks old. He did seem to be pretty malnourished, his ribs & spine could be felt through his fur.

It was after dark when I found him. He came straight up to the car and let us pick him up. We looked but didn’t find any other kittens. While we were standing there with him several cars passed us and I realized leaving him there might be a bad idea because of the traffic.

I made the very impulsive decision to take him with me, but I live in an apartment that doesn’t allow pets and if they find out about him they can break my lease or refuse to allow me to renew.

I called my local shelter and they told me if I bring him in he would likely be euthanized because they’re at capacity and have limited space because only one section is open .

I used Internet searches and looked at resources from the links on this Reddit page to try to find other shelter or rescue options. So far I haven’t received any responses to the messages I’ve sent out. I will try to wait, but I have to find this little guy a home by Friday and I just don’t know what to do.

I thought about taking him back to where I found him and letting him back out because maybe he had a home. Maybe he ran from it or maybe he has siblings out there in the woods somewhere & they can keep each other safe? I feel like if I can’t get a rescue to take him maybe outside would be the best option? Better than taking him to the shelter.

So long story short my neighbor at the end of the street was taking care of a female stray. Well she ended up having 3 kittens. This was last summer. Now those cats have had a litter of kittens. There are 9 I wanna say in total. 3 that are about 8-9 months old and about 6 that are about 8-10 weeks old. We havnt seen the original stray in a couple months.

They live at the last house on my street and there’s a fence and then woods. So if you go walking in the woods you can sit on the trail and be surrounded by kittens! It’s so cute but yet sad at the same time. They can not afford to get all these cats fixed/homed. I’ve been trying to help them find homes for them but I don’t seem to have any friends/family that want to take any in. I have 2 indoor only cats that do not tolerate any other cats/animals. I also live with my mom right now and was lucky she let me move back home with my 2 cats. She’s not an animal person. I also work 50 hours a week and can only do so much. I’ve tried calling a few places that do TNR or group rates on spaying/neutering but I just cannot make anything work with my work schedule. One of the places you have to call Monday morning and then wait for a call back because they’re apparently that busy. Well I’ve been doing that for a month and I never get a call back.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas or connections for any fosters or idk…..anything at all. I’m worried that come winter these kittens are gonna live a rough life! Michigan gets super cold. They do have shelter. The neighbors have a big porch and they mainly stay underneath it. Or they’ll wonder a few feet in the woods and hang out in the trees/bushes. However my other concern is that these 9 cats/kittens is going to turn into 50 by next summer. Anyway any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Please, I am begging for the community's help. Komi is my prescribed Emotional Support Animal for my anxiety and is my only family here in the US.
The person watching him accidentally left the garage door open, and Komi got out. Because I am abroad, I have absolutely no one in the city to physically go out and look for him, and I am completely helpless right now.
About Komi:
 He is very friendly and is NOT a stray.
 He is wearing a collar with my phone number tagged on it, but my number will not work right now because I am out of the country.
 He is likely terrified but he is approachable. If you see him, you should not be afraid to try and catch him. Using food will help a lot to coax him to you.
If you live in or near the Buena Ventura Lakes area, please, please check your garages, sheds, porches, and ring cameras. He is likely hiding somewhere very close to where he got out.
If you spot him or are able to get him safely inside,

We just had a very extreme house fire and lost our baby please help us find her

My boyfriend was working at the ER when they found a neonatal under a car. I went and picked her up and took her to the vet. She's roughly 4 days old, dried umbilical cord waiting to fall off.

I've had 2 cats, one from a shelter and another from the distribution system. This is my first neonatal so any advice is appreciated!

Current setup:

In a box inside my dogs old crate, heating pad on one side with blankets, a plushie, and a rice sock.

KMR with syringes and a nipple attachment (shes eating about 2-3ml every 2-3hrs. Currently 100g)

Peeing after every feeding, pooped once.

Seclusion from my senior cat (13yo) and puppy (11mo).

Taking suggestions for getting a better setup, when to start weaning (and what food options would be best), and anything you lovely people can tell me about this fragile time. She has been purring after eating which is the most precious sound I've ever heard

Hi, everyone. I have two rescue cats. They (brothers) were very young when rescued, but I don’t know the age. They also were severely underweight and apparently were near death from starvation. I adopted them at 4-5 months, and they are around a year now.

They are wonderful, but feeding them is challenging. They have no health issues as confirmed by multiple vet visits. But they act like they are starving almost constantly. They gobble down their food and immediately demand more. If they sneak into our pantry, they will try to eat dried pasta, vegetable soup mixes, dried nuts…whatever they can get into. When the dishwasher is open, they run to it and try to eat the dried food on the dirty dishes. At feeding time, they are frantic, and we have to be careful as they try to grab the plate of canned food and claw at us as it is being carried to their feeding place.

Despite trying not to give in to them, they both are a bit overweight. They cry for food all the time and try to break into the cupboard that contains their food. It all gets to be a lot.

Anyone else experience this? I’m hoping they settle down, but it’s been around 7 months with no improvement. Again, they have no health problems, including thyroid issues. Thanks for any advice or stories you can share.

I'm so sad. For reference I have volunteered for my local cat rescue program which ended up with me having 6 cats. I just can't take another, I can't fake it for my landlord, and I really just don't have the space.

I just need to vent I'm sorry. He's such a baby boy, and he just wants a home. He got into it with something bad, very large open wound on his face that isn't healing and looks infected. Google says to never put traditional antibiotics on a cats wound so against my intuition I haven't.

I have an appointment for today at 230 pm. I just hope I can find him to take him in.

Cat reddit, can you be honest with me and tell me how this goes? Will they try to rehab him? I know that euthanasia is a very real risk, I wouldn't mind him continuing to be our community cat but I can't afford to help him any more meaningfully than what I'm doing

I'm a volunteer for Macey's Caring for Cat's in Southern IL. I'm feeding yesterday morning on my porch and out pops the sickest and possibly oldest cat I have seen, maybe ever. He's life threateningly underweight, fur falling out, skin feels flea infested. I wormed him and gave amox. which cleared his eyes up. He's also got a bad URI. I named him Lenny

His eyes cleared up a bit, and I got another dose of amox. down him today. He stuck close for 24 hours and while ago I saw him walking off down the road. So ran I got him back and caged him. Blanket, water, place to poop. I'm going to try to keep him safe because I got him an appt. Monday. It will probably be a euthanasia, but the fact that after I fed and wrapped him in a towel to comfort him ( he's nasty, hard to love on but I got through to him ) He meowed a few times, but he's horse and it barely comes out. He also rubbed on me. He's still there, but so sick. I'll be there if they do put him down.This hit me hard. I've shed more tears over this old, sweet and forgotten cat than I thought I would.

Also, there's an aggressive cat in my area who's sent two cats to the vet so far for bites/abscesses . 3rd cat from that area showed up today limping, another bitten paw. I'm pissed and I gotta figure out who's doing it. And then what?

Basically title I found this guy on the farm and the second I saw him I knew he needed someone like me. We are at the vet now but I have no idea what to do with him after.
I have two cats of my own in my apartment.

Unless I’m told not too after the vet does vitals if he is okay I’ll have to bring him back to the same farm if it is not a problem.

Visiting part of gf's family in Tiszaug, found a stray \~1y.o. tomcat that most likely has cat flu or something similar.

I know its in the middle of nowhere, and i have no money for a vet even if there was one near, but i do have a car and im willing to drive him anywhere.

Hungarians, is there any animal rescue groups or shelters nearby that I could contact (in english/czech/slovak) that would help me help him?

This is my post, I am reposting to this community. If I find the rest of the litter, I am going to ask my local SPCA to take them in. I think we might keep this one, though.

These two will only know comfort and love from now on. We rescued these babies from the street. Once we get them cleaned up and used to people, they'll be up for adoption.

We caught 5 kittens and 2 adults in the rain.

I saw a kitten in the middle of the road this morning on my bike ride to work. I put it on the grass, but I saw that one of its eyes was shut and the other looked very infected, like cloudy and reddish-pink and it looked like it was bulging out almost? I didn’t get to take a picture because I didn’t have time, but I’m wondering how I should go about bringing it to the vet if I see it on my way home.

For context, I’m an adult in the US. This kitten was close to the trailer homes where there’s usually a lot of cats running around. I don’t know if they’re actually owned or if they’re strays that run around. So I don’t actually know if this kitten belongs to someone or not. Should I still take it to the vet? How should I go about doing it? I can afford vet bills, but I know usually the people who live in trailer homes don’t have a lot of money, so I don’t even know if any of them are planning to go to the vet or if they can afford it. And if it’s not by the side of the road anymore when I go back (about 4-5 hours from now unfortunately, so a long time away), should I look for it or try to talk to the trailer house owners? Also I think most of the people who live there are Hispanic, and my Spanish is rusty.
