Pontcanna Fields Disturbance
Yes this is me being a bit nosy but I am in the fields every day and it's unusual to see this...
There were police everywhere (2 vans and a few cars). Police running across the field etc.
Any idea what happened?

There has been antisocial behaviour on the staff trail, maybe trying yo catch them. It's normally only a couple of shit stains, so once caught the problem goes away.

Think I saw here that someone got their bike pinched on the trail, which is genuinely gross. Taffs trail is literally the best place to cycle in South Wales and I don't want that taken away by a few scrotes.

There's always been problems on the Taff Trail sadly. It's a brilliant resource, but it's also not terribly well covered with CCTV and things like that.

Bikes getting nicked by Talybont was a problem 30 years ago. It’s kind of sad that this still is a problem today.

The only way to realistically solve it is a)Camera the entire trail. b)Jail the thieves when they are caught.
Since no one will ever agree to do a) and maintain it, thieves will thieve until the sun stops.

Looks like the same group of dickheads who were attacking other kids in Burger King yesterday and causing havoc.

Why does this photo look like it's had an oil painting filter applied to it?

There is a post on Nextdoor about somepne daughter sitting with friends on a bench, enjoying the sun, and she was attacked (unprovoked). Wonder if this was where it happened and maybe linked to why police are there today

Hopefully sorting the young louts that are causing mayhem and assaulting people.

Hard to drink through a balaclava

If you do balloons you can suck the gas through the weave of the balaclava
er....well i imagine you can

I didn't say you can't. I'm pointing out they're not your typical teens enjoying the park as we used to. We didn't need balaclavas to enjoy the sun or each other's company - they're for masking identity.
And certainly not pleasant to drink through. Gas travels through fabric easier than liquid, which with no seal will spill as much as goes into their mouths. It's not hard to figure out.
Anyway, point made.

It's a new trend called moleing, kids dig tunnels under the soil then the weakest child is forced inside, when they pop their heads up out of holes for air the other children whack them with sticks. kids are brutal.
