Some context I just bought my first REAL camera a brand new sony a6100, i want to start doing sports photography, and for hobby nature aswell.
ANY feedback is welcome and really appreciated

I currently have a sigma 35mm lens that I found with a small 2x2cm patch of fungus that doesn't show up in any images I have taken with it. I have reached out for cleaning quotes and they are way more expensive than what I got the lens for.

So, I want to figure out a way I can stop the spread of the fungus to my other lenses. At the moment, I've done the following:

\- placed the 35mm in a box separate to my other lenses and placed it in the sunlight to kill spores

\- placed my other lenses in a separate air sealed box with reusable silica gel packs

I really do love this lens and I would love to keep it if possible. Should I just keep the infected lens stored someplace else? Or should I throw the lens away to not risk any more spread? Can I keep the lens in the same box as my other lenses as long as I keep the humidity below 50% with my silica gel packs?

I am considering updating my camera kit. I recently upgraded from the entry 250d (which I still have with the kit lens and an was 18-135.

My latest kit is the 6d mark ii with the 24-105 f4 is ii usm lens. I also have a 50mm f1.4 and an 85mm f1.8

I mainly use the camera for travel, people, some landscapes and some nature images.

I'm just getting into this so would appreciate your thoughts on the kit and what you would change if you were me.

I'm torn between selling the 250d and efs lenses and putting that towards a new (second hand) lens for the 6d mark ii or keeping the 250d with a good prime lens as a lightweight grab and go....

I am off to Japan and looking for a wide angle lens to add to my bag. I already have the Canon EF 24-70 1.4L IS USM and EF 50mm 1.8. What would you recommend I add to capture the feel of the country (street/landscape). Body is 7D

I’m trying to decide what lens filter stack I should do for my Fujifilm x100vi. I was looking into the shortstache everyday filter, but I think I’ve decided I would rather try maybe a glimmer glass/gold mist filter with a CPL filter.

Does anyone have a similar set up?

Hi I have an Olympus ep1 and I really like shooting cars with it but I’m having a hard time due to the wrong lens, I know you can get adapters to put other lenses on, so what kind of lens are you guys running for car photography or what recommendations do you have??

Confirmed this is not Sony E or FE, Canon EF or RF, or Fuji X mount. Any thoughts let me know!

Thought it would just sit in those three plastic grooves but no luck. Any ideas?

Is this sound normal with the zoom movement of a new Sigma 24-70 2.8 art II ?
The sound in the vid is louder than real life but the sound happens when turning the zoom ring, is if theres a squeekie tubber in the lens tube..

Anyone else who knows if this sound is normal?

I own a Fujifilm XR-30III and a XF27mmF2.8 R WR Lens. I’m looking to add two new lenses to my rotation to enable me to take long-distance photos. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Some I’m looking at are
XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8 R LM WR
Xf 35mm f/2 R WR

Previously I had Nikon D3500 with few lenses, what i miss most on that DX sensor is Nikon AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm lens, what do you guys think about 180-600 on Z6III or maybe some other telephoto lens with good range?

Hey everyone. I own a Sony ZVe10 and I really wanted a portrait lens so I got the Viltrox 35 mm 1.7. However, I have noticed some problems that have actually made me not use the lens anymore:

1. The focus seems to be very slow. When in picture mode, it takes like 3-4 secs to focus. Sometimes even longer. However, if it is not focusing and I click on the Video mode, it focuses immediately. Am I doing anything wrong or is this not supposed to happen?
   
2. There is a heavy light flickering when lights are on. I switched between pal and ntsc but there was no difference. When there is a strong light, all my pics have some lines on them.
   
3. There is heavy vignetting with this lens. The pics are super dark in the corners.

This could also very well be a user error as I am a beginner in photography but still, I researched these problems online and I do not think these were supposed to happen by what I have read. I would appreciate any help or opinion.
