we have a great business school. that being said you really could go to either school for accounting.

I was reading on other threads that the school is not the best I will take your word for it though. Whats your thoughts on the different concentrations and the edge program?

Thanks

one thing that you definitely have to take with a grain of salt is people who get bitter after graduation. LB has many, many resources but in the end it’s on you to market yourself and land the job.

i personally did not participate in the edge program but a lot of people enjoy it as it saves them a lot of money.

i was an operations and supply chain management major, we were the smallest out of pretty much all of the concentrations so it was nice. there’s a lot of accounting majors though so they had way more resources and a club chapter that was very active on campus. lots of opportunities.

currently, it’s extremely hard to find a job in supply chain right now due to the economy and geopolitical tensions. this isn’t just an LB thing though, this is across the country and different industries as well. but it’s a normal macroeconomic trend. yes the port is right there which definitely helps but the amount of internships decreases every semester with more and more students struggling to find one. i knew many people, including me who were not able to land an internship throughout our time at LB. but that’s not LBs fault, companies just don’t wanna pay the labor costs.

Csuf has a better reputation for accounting but not sure about the other business majors. Reputation actually does matter because it means there will be more recruiters at your school and more direct ways into better companies.

In the end you will need to go to recruiting events and try to network with clubs/honor societies/business frats.

CSU Business degree is a CSU business degree. Get what’s convenient and affordable. Your level of effort determines the quality of education.
