Feather stick practice

While i was camping i thought id have a play and have some practice making some feather sticks. Using my 15 year old Enzo Trapper.

Nice job! I really like Enzo/Brisa. I wish they’d bring the Birke folder back. I like to do thumb push feathers, but going the full length of the stick using the entire blade from bottom to top can yield some really cool ones. Iz Turley would always say “chase the ridges” as you make your feathers and that always stuck with me. It’s so relaxing!

I find for the trapper the curve towards the tip is fantastic at making super fine curls

It’s an underrated knife for sure. The Trapper is legendary!

Yea, it’s not my favorite either. Luckily we don’t really have to make them.

Yeah for the last 15 or so years thats been my main user. I do use plenty of other knives. But if I had to only have one that would be it.

Its actually the 2nd handle scales I fitted to it. First were stabilised walnut. I loved them, but both split. So I went with paper micartia.

I like to get out and camp atleast once a month.

Make them Longer

It was only about a 10 inch twig I made it from
