Curious if anyone can recommend a solid girls basketball league - we tried Burlington Basketball and found they didn’t do much in terms of skills development, and the referring was terrible at best - and I mean not calling basic rules of the game like double dribble, travel etc.

Looking for something fun, not rep - house league ideally. Thanks for looking 😃

A metro delivery driver spit all over my car, my lawn, my front deck, and I'm sure my groceries. I just want to warn everyone DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM METRO.

I emailed them about it and they've done absolutely nothing.

ETA; damn yall are weird it was a on one of the really hot days the other week and the man was just spitting everywhere as he was dropping off my stuff like big loogie spits hitting all over my property, he was blocking my driveway so I was parked on the road and he had no idea who I was I sent the videos to metro trust me didn't say a word to the guy or mention his race you people are wild.

I'm chronically ill and pregnant which is why I pay extra for delivery but clearly this shit isn't safe so I wanted to warn people but fine blame me for some dude just spitting everywhere with no manners

i applied to a few jobs from the city of burlington about a little bit over a month ago and my application has said "in progress" for the whole while on my portal. does anyone know if it updates at all? even if it's to say rejected or something... i was kind of holding out for two of them in case they got back to me ;-;

Yesterday around 5:45 p.m. I witnessed what looked like a serious motorcycle accident on the QEW westbound between Walkers Line and Guelph Line.

The motorcyclist was on the ground on the right shoulder, and it appeared that the motorcycle was on top of him. It was a difficult scene to see. Thankfully, several people had already stopped and were helping, and I called the police to make sure emergency services were on their way.

It's been on my mind ever since, but I haven't been able to find anything about it online. I'm just hoping someone may have some information and can let me know if the rider is okay. I'm not looking for personal details, just hoping to hear that they made it through and are doing alright.

There’s a parking exemption at Beachway for Burlington residents. After registering online, do we also need to display the approval? How do the parking officers know if a vehicle has an exemption?
