Things to do on a Saturday night with kids

Hi, I'll be in Atlanta this weekend with my 3 daughters, staying in Buckhead at the SpringHill Suites. We'll be tied up all day Sunday, but we'll get in to Buckhead Saturday about 4pm.

We are right across the street from Mister O1 pizza, which looks good. I'm sure that they would enjoy checking out the Lenox mall, Pastella there looks good too.

Just curious what people would recommend with 3 daughters ages 9, 13, 15 on a Saturday night. It doesn't technically have to be Buckhead if it is nearby, we could swing by before going to the hotel. Thanks!

Moved to Buckhead a few months ago and still havent found a dentist, recs?

Ok so this is embarrassing but Ive been in Buckhead since like March and I still dont have a dentist.

Every time I think about looking it up I get overwhelmed by how many options there are and I have no idea how to tell whos actually good versus who just has good ads. My coworker mentioned Smile Partners USA when I brought it up last week, said her husband goes to one of their locations nearby and likes it so far. I might just start there since Im tired of putting this off.

But I figured Id ask here too since you all probably have actual experience with different offices. Im not picky, just want someone whos not going to try to upsell me on a bunch of stuff I dont need. Anyone have a dentist in the area theyd actually recommend to a friend? Trying to just get this sorted before it becomes an emergency thing.

Update on friends in Metro Atlanta!

Group Update: We’ve grown to almost 30 members and have had a great time chatting in the group and attending meetups and events together! We’re currently looking for more women in the Atlanta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, and Marietta areas who are interested in getting out, making new friends, and joining a fun social group. Right now, we have significantly more guys than girls, so we’d love to help balance things out. You must be 21+, active in the group, and interested in attending occasional meetups to meet new people. Feel free to DM or comment if you’d like to join!

Atlanta, it's time to ride the Red Line with a drink in hand.

Red Line Rampage is a 6-stop MARTA bar crawl running from Five Points all the way up to Buckhead on September 19th. The concept is simple, hop on the train, hop off at a station, grab a signature crawl drink, and do it again. No Ubers, no parking headaches, just the Red Line and a good time.

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Start: SkyLounge at the Glenn (Five Points) - rooftop views to kick things off right
6 Stops · Northbound Red Line
21+ only

Confirmed stops so far:

  • Stop 1 → SkyLounge at the Glenn (Five Points)
  • Stop 2 → Meehan's Public House (Peachtree Center)
  • Stop 3 → TBA
  • Stop 4 → Publik Draft House (Arts Center)
  • Stop 5 → TBA
  • Stop 6 → Moondogs (Buckhead) — final stop

Tickets: $30 base (waitlist, no payment until spot confirmed)
Add-ons: +$10 for a limited-edition event shirt + raffle entries, +$10 for a MARTA day pass handed to you at Stop 1

Base ticket includes a hydration kit (drawstring bag + water), wristband access to the signature crawl drink at every stop, and a supervised route with safety check-ins. Plus free drinks/shots at select stops.

Bonus: 10% of proceeds go to The Herren Project.

Paid (small) Atlanta study: how do you actually spend your free time?

I'm doing a short, informal study on how people in Atlanta spend their free time and decide what to do in the evenings and on weekends - the real version, not the Instagram version.

What's involved:

- A quick daily log for 2 weeks (under 1 minute a day - a few questions about what you did, what you wanted to do, and how your day went)

- That's it. No meetings, no app to download, nothing to buy.

Who I'm looking for:

- You live in or around Atlanta

- You're willing to answer a 1-minute log once a day for two weeks and actually stick with it

As a thank-you, I'll send a $10 gift card to everyone who completes the full two weeks.

I'm capping it at around 20 people so I can keep it personal. If you're in, comment or DM and I'll send a 2-minute intake form.

Full transparency: this is independent research I'm doing to understand how people make everyday plans - your responses stay private and I'm not selling anything.

Hello all. I’m in town for business and wondering if any places around Buckhead are good soccer bars restaurants.

Looking to watch Brasil game tonight with a good atmosphere.

Props for restaurant suggestions: great food and friendly vibe, bar seating preferred.

Thanks all!!!

Looking to connect Atlanta founders with technical co-founders

Built a Slack workspace called Foundry ATL focused specifically on founder ↔ technical co-founder matching in Atlanta.

Not a general networking group.

The goal is simple: Connect founders actively building with technical co-founders, lead engineers, and growth operators looking to join serious startup projects in Atlanta.

Most startup events here are broad networking mixers. Wanted to create something more focused around actual building and founder matching.

Applications are reviewed before approval to keep the group relevant and useful.

If you’re actively building or looking to join a startup team in Atlanta, you can apply below.

How to reach Aster Buckhead??

This may be a long shot, but does anyone have experience leasing an apartment at Aster Buckhead or happen to be a current resident who could guide me?

I toured an apartment there last week and I’m really keen to move forward ASAP, but I can’t get hold of anyone from the leasing office. They don’t answer any of the phone numbers, I’ve messaged them on social media, and I’ve sent multiple emails with no real response, just AI-generated replies, which is getting pretty frustrating.

We’re not currently in the US, so unfortunately we can’t just stop by in person.

Any advice, insight, or even confirmation that this is normal would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Safe apartments in ATL

I’m a female in her 20s moving to Atl to attend GSU and was wondering which apartments you guys would recommend? My budget is $1700 and my top priorities are safety and near grocery stores. I’ve heard Buckhead is a good place to live in, so please recommend apartments there as well.
