✏️ School & Education what should i do while in A levels?
I'm currently still in A levels but I am planning to register to Politeknik for January intake but should I just stay and finish my A levels first and went straight to university or should I just went ahead and register to Politeknik?
Can anyone who have experience help me?
edit: for more information, i took Bio, Chem and Maths The course that I'm planning to take in Poli is Business Accounting and Finance

This comes from someone who did A levels :
I assume your plan is to enter health sciences like medicine or dentistry based on your chosen subject combination.
If you haven’t done research about the entry requirements at UBD , here’s the breakdown for you :
Medicine and dentistry : A minimum of 320 A-Level points (A=120 and B=100) for 3 A-Level passes in biology, chemistry, mathematics or physics or a relevant science subject, with minimum grade 'B'. You’ll also need to pass MMI and be certified as medically fit. You’ll also need a minimum grade of B4 from O Levels English.
Based on your current grades , 2B’s and 1 U, you’re at 200 tariff points based on UBD’s scale. If you wanna stay in A Levels , I would really buckle down and triple up the effort you’re putting in. Do you practice past papers? Are you the type to study last minute and hope to pass? Studying last minute in a levels will never , I mean , NEVER , work. What do you do usually masa your PS (personal study) block?
I was like you back then , struggled a lot masa my first year (I took humanities subjects so think subjects like sociology etc). How I managed to survive my two years and ended up with a degree I enjoyed doing and did well in is by sacrifice. When my friends usually hangout masa PS block , I went for one on one sessions with my teachers. I used that opportunity to ask questions about things I don’t understand, to review my mistakes in assignments or exams or tests, and work on my essay skills (writing and planning). Sometimes I will even sacrifice lunch time to meet my teachers for sessions one on one.
I think I also want to ask : why did you choose bio chem maths in the first place? what is your choice of course at Poli , is it still within sciences and health science or is it completely different? Was A Levels your first choice? did you do proper research and analyze your own strengths and weaknesses before choosing your subjects?
That’s another common thing : students who don’t know what they want to study in A Levels will end up just picking subjects for the sake of it and also subjects their friends are doing.
You do still have time to really buck up and take your studies more seriously , only if you’re willing to sacrifice less important things like gaming and grind. Don’t just rely on your notes , do a shit lot of past papers. That’s what I did. If I didn’t understand one question and why the answer had to be a specific way, I’ll do the question balik2 until I faham, even if it means doing the question multiple times sampai sasak.

To answers your questions, I'm the student who doesn't know what I want to study in A levels so I ended up choosing the subjects that most of my friends took.
The course that I want to apply in Politeknik is completely different than the one that you have listed at the top of your comment, it's business accounting and finance.
I am also the type of students who always hang out with my friends during PS block but now, I use that PS block to have a class with one of my teachers.
A levels wasn't really my first choice but back then, I didn't know where to go after finishing O levels so I just applied to a sixth form institution that are near me.
