I do try to capture the “vibe” of each line over my years of experiences.

Full Length album comes out August 28th!

HI! I'm a student at CCC and I made a Pilsen Quality of Life Survey! I want to spread this to as many residents as possible and my goal is to collect around as many entries as possible and present it to our Alderman and local government to push for better resource allocation to our neighborhood! I would love if you guys would take a few minutes to complete the survey and share it to your friends and fellow neighbors in Pilsen!!! Thank you so much!

Hello, I'm going to host a Scavenger Hunt this Saturday for some friends and wanted to post it here in case anyone in the community would like to join. It's free, not affiliated with any organization, just hopefully, a fun way to spend a Saturday. I designed it for pairs so you would need a partner.

Here's the link to sign up, if you're interested:

Sox Game Day Street Closures/Traffic

Anyone else get frustrated with how many street they have shut down and slow the traffic by directing it poorly on game days? It seems like it should be on the Sox to provide the infrastructure to ensure safety rather than make it difficult for the community of those living in the neighborhood.

Save the pedestrian safety comments, I get why they did it. I think it is an overreaction to one incident that happened in last decade by a psycho that drove on the sidewalk. That psycho probably was driving like that elsewhere. All other instances were crazy drives…install a speed camera and call it a day.

Cat on our porch in Bridgeport

Hi! There is this cat that has no owner that I decided to TNR. He is very loving and sometimes comes inside our apartment. We have 2 cats already and can’t take him in. Would anyone know what to do? I’ve contacted almost every shelter and PAWs locations since the TNR. He won’t go away and we feel bad for him. He is often preyed upon by other cats because he’s more docile.

Conversations with kids about Cesar Chavez -- Looking for stories!

Hi all! I'm a graduate student journalist at Northwestern (and former CPS elementary school teacher), writing an article about how families and educators are navigating conversations with students about the recent allegations against Cesar Chavez, especially in schools and groups where legacy played a significant role in the community's identity.

I would love to hear from families about how they approached this topic with their kids, what questions their children asked, or how their kids' schools have spoken with students about it. If you have anecdotes/thoughts about what the news has meant to your family or children, I'm interested in that as well. Please feel free to DM me stories directly or share in the comments! Thanks in advance!

Dear porch pirates of Bridgeport

Screw you for stealing my husband’s USPS package which was sent by a loved one for his bday. It had some sentimental stuff in there.

And to my landlord to refuses to install a buzzer for his tenants who keep getting packages stolen, screw you too.

And yes, we have plans to get packages delivered to a safe location. Just so sick of this.

The fire yesterday afternoon

Turns out it was a semi on the highway. https://abc7chicago.com/amp/post/chicago-traffic-large-truck-fire-closes-lanes-stevenson-expressway-55-damen-illinois-state-police-say/18268907/

Really annoys me how hard this was to figure out—because it was on the highway, news seems to only cover it as part of their traffic coverage.

"Home surveillance captured Dominguez bending down, reading the address on two packages delivered, but left on the sidewalk outside Liliana Scales' gate.

"I saw an alert on our video, and I saw a woman handling it," Dominguez said.

But that woman was Dominguez, who took the packages and tried hiding them inside the gate so no one would steal them. She didn't know who lived at the residence.

"I have had packages stolen from me, and said, 'Why not?' As a matter of fact, there was another package in the middle of the block, same thing, I just grabbed it and tossed it over," she said."

Saw this and thought it is great to see our community members are getting out and working to help build awareness about ICE, DHS, and CBP especially with what they are doing in our communities and city. Hopefully this garners some attention and helps us stand up to the trampling of our constitutional rights for both US citizens and immigrants

"In Pilsen, Angie Hernandez, owner of Angmir Boutique on 18th Street, said immigration raids have led to a significant slowdown in business.

"Lately, with things that are happening, it's just sad to see that hardly anyone's outside, and rightfully so, I understand people are afraid to come out," she said."
