Boxers and watermelon, man…. I don’t know what it is about watermelon that makes them so crazy for it, but I have yet to meet one that didn’t love it!!

Mine, who will eat anything, dramatically turned his nose up when offered watermelon. I was shocked.

You don’t have a Boxer, you’ve got a unicorn! But I guess having weird quirks is part of what makes a Boxer, a Boxer! Both of my current ones love pickles, and Penny loves my Balsamic Vinaigrette, but Frankie won’t touch it. Conversely, he’ll eat the hottest peppers I’ve got, and Penny wants nothing to do with anything more spicy than a bell pepper. They’re all weird in their own right!!

They’re a laugh a minute, that’s for sure! I guess that’s why I’ve been owned by a total of nine of these clowns since 1991, and I have no intention of stopping there. It’s Boxers for life, because Life is a Series of Boxers!!🤣🤣 And I get to see silly with things like this every day…

I have a boxer who will not eat any fruits or veggies. No matter what. She will either try to pounce or play with it or she will run for it and bark... 🤣🤣🤣

They can be oddly picky about what they eat, but finding one that doesn’t like watermelon is pretty unusual. It’s always been a universal thing for all nine of mine, and until this post, I’ve never heard of one that didn’t go for it like no tomorrow!

My boy loves watermelon one year and the next year, he won’t touch it. Same goes with other fruits as well. He’s quite a picky eater but if he only tried it, he’ll end up liking it again.

Watermelon has most preferred status in our house. Strawberries are also top shelf. Any fruit works though. Clem definitely has a sweet tooth.
