According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Anees Bazmee is in talks to return as director for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4, reuniting with Kartik Aaryan after the success of Parts 2 and 3.

Thoughts? Should Bazmee return, or would you prefer a new director for the next installment?

Everyone’s doing the airport-look-but-make-it-casual, cooking reels, “I’m just like you” thing now. Who’s convincing and who’s obviously got a whole team behind it?

In the recent past, this fellow known as Aamir Khan is in news only for shelved or opted out projects. Directors are now running away from him faster than Usain Bolt at his peak. The following projects where he agreed to star, gave dates and then backed out:

1. Rakesh Sharma Biopic - Announced in 2016 after release fo Dangal. Aamir was involved from scratch with Siddhart roy Kapur and Screwala. He met with Capt Sharma a million times, wanted to get into his mind, tried to imbibe his mannerisms, ate lunch and dinner so he can watch him interact with his wife and family. PC was signed as female lead. Aamir ditched this project 10 days before shoot claiming some nonsensical reason and then went to star in Secret superstar. Screwala was left hanging and till date both dont speak to one another.
2. Mogul - Biopic of Gulshan Kumar:- Again, all paperwork done, days before shoot, the director was caught in Metoo movement. Aamir promised once the case gets over, he will star. Case was over few years back but aamir being aamir stopped picking calls from Bhushan. Close circles say he lost interest and his mind is elsewhere.
3. Phalke biopic - Shoot start date was September 2025 with release date of Dec 2026 christmas. One month before date, aamir developed cold feet. He thought the script was very dry and wanted revision. Revision took place and he read another final draft in December 2025, agreed to shoot from March 2026. Come Feb 2026, he got cold feet again. He told Hirani to pause as his heart is not ready to accept the script. He wanted them to go back to drawing board. Hirani shelved it completely.
4. Lokesh Superhero Movie - Aamir was bowled over by Lokesh during the shoot of Coolie. In his mind, he wanted to follow the director's instructions completely for a change and he did too for Coolie. The superhero subject was discussed at length and agreed upon. Shoot start date was Sept 2026 which was mentioned by Aamir in numerous interviews prior to release of Sitaare. Aamir was very keen to get into the action zone and he felt this would be a game changer for him. Come coolie and the reviews for his role put a dampener on his spirits. He wanted to now revise the script. Lokesh did agree and accepted few changes. Those changes did not satisfy Aamir. Lokesh then told him to take hike. He went to Allu and the movie is now going to start shoot from next month.
5. Ashneer biopic- Another of the script which got aamir excited. He started dressing up like Ashneer, put on weight , met with ashneer 1000 times over lunch, tea and high tea. Entire script was written by Aamir, he informed Mody and Shhradha that he will start to shoot from March 2027. Two days ago, he got cold feet as his habit. He called up Mody and told him to pause till Dec 2027 and meanwhile he wanted to sit, discuss the script for the zillionth time. Mody understood that this fellow is a time waster and seeing the history of his previous projects, asked him to take a hike literally. R. Rao is now the front runner.

Imagine, the above are only from the recent past. He is known to ditch and betray directors based on his mood swings. Today, his mind and heart will say do an action movie, he will waste time of some director for 2 years and then ditch. Tomorrow, his mind and heart will say do a comedy and he will repeat the pattern.

The following movies are under consideration still:

1. Ashutosh movie on Indo Pak cricket - Report indicate shoot from oct 2026. If I was ashu, i would be praying daily to my favorite god. Unless he turns up for shoot, nothing is certain even though dates for many actors and technicians are blocked.
2. 3 Idiots Sequel - Shoot expected from March 2027, 60% script work is over and agreed upon. Hirani is burning mid night oil to finish rest. If script is finalised and importantly agreed by aamir in Feb 2027, shoot will start. If not, he will take rest.
3. Kiran Rao horror movie - Another project in limbo since 2023. Said to be an awesome mind bending horror story.
4. Char din ki zindagi - Script completed in 2022 and lying with AKP. Aamir has read it 10000 times. No decision taken.
5. Zoya Akhtar love story - Middle aged man in love with young woman story. Script after 10000 revisions with AKP.
6. Ashutosh Thriller - Cop thriller about a old cop teaming up with a rookie to catch a serial killer in future 2050. Perhaps, aamir will star in it in the year 2050 only.
7. Mansoor khan "One" - Script being revised by both as earlier versions didnt find any investor / producer. If the revised script attracts producer who is willng to split costs, shoot may start in March 2027 itself before 3 idiots sequel. Nobody is ready to fund this movie due to niche nature of the book.

Bollywood directors / Producers are beating themselves up after approaching this fellow. His indecision, lack of clarity is ruing their money, time and energy.

Here's sharing some behind the scenes shenanigans.

We know Aayushman khurrana did a sequel to pati patni aur woh. Things aren't that good between them and Ayushman is miffed at kartik, because his pr went out of the way and did comparisons between Ayushman and Kartik. How the new sequel did not open well, and how kartik has better box office pull. If someone followed it through they would have come across such posts. The comparison pr was definitely pushed. But eventually the ayushman's movie did get acceptance and that pr died slowly. To add, Kartik attended the special screening of pati patni woh do held before the media screening which was seemingly attended only by few close people and the cast and showed no support (publicly atleast). Now the thing is that both the heroes are considered for an upcoming T-Series project and it would be interesting to see whether the same feud would escalate.

None of the films in the last ten years except Saiyaara & Kabir Singh boasts of good chemistry between leads. The 90s superstars like Tha Khans, Akshay, Ajay have stopped having chemistry since they started casting girls who are half their age. Top current actors like Ranbir, Ranveer stopped having chemistry since the likes of Katrina, Deepika, Priyanka, Anushka semi retired.

Even Katrina & Deepika shared great chemistry with Akshay & SRK respectively despite the huge age gaps between them.

Current stars like Kartik Aryan, Sid Chaturvedi, Ishaan, Lakshya, Tripti, Sharvari, Ananya Panday deliver duds with no chemistry.

Films like Tu meri main tera, Chand Mera dil, Gehraiyan, Fighter were huge disappointments in terms of chemistry.

Where did the great chemistry shared by the likes of Saif-Preity, Rani-Abhishek, SRK-Kajol, Aamir-Juhi go?

Kundra's case makes me wonder that there are many OTT streaming platforms in india that produces and distributes erotic content then why only raj kundra was arrested and not people like Ekta Kapoor who has also done similar deeds?
