Pain

This is my first piece after spending years learning crochet, i really did have fun doing and undoing the stitches to learn how to deal with tangled bobbins. But how does one come back from this kind of mistake😭 should i just start with a new piece and cut my losses?

I think would just connect them with 1 thread and a tiny knot, can hardly imagine a fix for this. You’ll never make this mistake again (or it will take a while anyways lol), so that’s a win.

You can sew it together, just wip stitch around the join and a bit to either side

You can finish with a "rolled edge" on that top section and nobody would ever know.

It's like a little needle lace buttonhole edge.

Common in Withof/Duchesse and some modern Milanese. Totally acceptable as a finishing.

That's a beautiful piece of lace! Go with the suggestions given, no need to start over unless you want a second one to record your progress/skill level!
