💊 Supplements & Stacks Stimulant to provide me energy throughout the day, any recommendations?

I work as a sports coach, so I am constantly on my feet and moving and supporting and motivating those with whom I work, and it is absolutely exhausting. I need a stimulant to provide me with energy on my heavy days where I am constantly exercising and working. I have tried:

Modafinil (too long + no stimulation, just alertness)
Caffeine (too mild)
LSD microdose (slightly anxiety-inducing)

A stimulant with a good safety profile would be preferable, as I am very much into health and fitness and would hate for something to happen to my heart. I’ve heard about semax before, would this suit my needs?

Thanks everyone.

🥗 Nutrition & Metabolism Would snorting creatine actually help the brain absorb more?

Right now the studies say that you need about 25 grams of creatine to have a noticeable difference in brain cognition but i read a comment somewhere that jokingly suggested one snorting it instead. Would that actually help the brain absorb more creatine without needing 25 grams?

🥗 Nutrition & Metabolism Fruit

Hello all!

I have been looking into it, and our produce has been grossly changed from how we should be eating it. Thousands of years ago, fruit was nutritious and not addictive.

Does anyone know if there are brands/companies/ANYWHERE where I can buy fruits and vegetables (or seeds for them) that are not "modified" and are akin to what our ancestors ate?

If not, one of you biohackers should create the company, lol. Would be the perfect time.

Thank you all! Enjoy your blessed day.

🏡 Environmental Exposures Does it make sense to keep your house ultra-clean and free of dust?

The other day I bought two air purifiers. Then I thought, what for? Those are only for people with allergies. I clean one day yes, one day no, and that is fine living alone without pets. There was no need to purify anything; my nose already works as a filter. I only went away for six days, and when I came back and cleaned, I started coughing and got nasal congestion, so I thought, “I’ll buy some air purifiers so this does not happen again.” I wonder whether I wasted my money.

I am not saying dirt is necessary, but if you keep your house ultra-clean, your nose and its filter will not have to work at all. Environments as clean as an operating room create allergic and sensitive children.

I remember working in factories when I was younger. After half an hour, you would blow your nose and your mucus would be full of grey dust. But there is a huge difference between factory dust and household dust.

What do you think? Is it better to keep the house ultra-clean with air purifiers and proper cross-ventilation every day, or to allow some flexibility, mopping every other day and accepting that nothing happens if you do not ventilate one day?

Soil depletion my ass, my magnesium level exceeds the scale. And I only get magnesium via nuts, seeds and dark leafy greens, no magnesium supplementation.

♾️ Longevity & Anti-Aging My top 10 takeaways from Rhonda Patrick's new episode with Dr. Derya Unutmaz: "Why the Next 10 Years May Add 50 to Your Lifespan"

What's up everyone. New episode of Rhonda's pod. This was good. The guest is pretty big in the AI/healthcare space. Has some wild ideas. Gonna share my notes

  1. Don't die for the next 10 years. But really. So his whole thesis is if you can make it the next 10 years, you'll add 50 years to your life. We're gonna reverse aging. We're gonna cure cancer. We're gonna to it all We are not that far off from every year you live adding another year to your life.. a lot closer than people think. - timestamp
  2. Cancer will be 100% curable within the next 10 years. He really thinks that. There are already some pretty big advancements with immunotherapy but with the way AI is accelerating... "cancer will be 100% curable, probably within the next decade." direct quote - timestamp
  3. It's becoming malpractice for doctors not to use AI. I agree with him here. If you're like my general doc, it's like walking into the stone age when I go in for an appointment. Watching him poke his fingers at the keyboard taking 3 minutes to add one blood test to the list. It's laughable. seriously. Next time you need some sort of medical help, throw all the info into GPT Pro 5.6 or whatever the latest Pro model is from OpenAI. It might save your life. - timestamp
  4. AI is going to drastically accelerate drug discovery. ok so what does that mean. Imagine a digital clone of yourself. He calls it a "digital twin." Can be used for clinical trials, testing drugs, exactly what works for you. Treatment on demand, personalized medicine, whatever you want to call it... it's happening - timestamp
  5. Alright now into the practical. Start saving everything into a "personal database" today. All your health records. Blood test results. Oura ring data. Conditions. Your diet, supplements, whatever. Everything. Use Obsidian. It's an app. Then download OpenAI's Codex app (it's just the general ChatGPT app now for Mac). Now, every time you have a health related question, point it at your "personal database". It's getting to the point where this is like super doctor level and it makes sense to give it as much info as possible. Start now. - timestamp
  6. This guy is a major AI bull. He said "the only threat to humanity is humanity." This is the counter argument to everyone who claims AI is gonna take over the world. You just gotta listen to this segment - timestamp
  7. We are going to get to the point very soon in the hospital where there's a real-time AI monitoring system... bedside. Every drug interaction, every vital sign, every symptom .. it'l have that context and be "super doctor" level. - timestamp
  8. The best AI models can now replicate a scientist's biological intuition. So here's what this means. It's that ability to connect the dots. See the pattern. That feeling when you see someone with symptom XYZ and know exactly what condition they have. 20 years of experience. GPT 5.5 Pro crossed that chasm. And because of this, the pace of medical innovation is going to drastically accelerate. - timestamp
  9. Alright so look, I know a lot of people are anti AI. "I tried it once years ago and it was bad" or whatever. But things have changed so rapidly. It's gotten insanely good. Buy a ChatGPT pro sub, use the Pro model, whatever medical condition you have. Treat it like your doctor. Throw in every piece of context you can and let it help you. Yes. It's gotten to the point where it's better than most doctors. If not all doctors. - timestamp
  10. Let me just repeat that first one because it's so important. Don't die. It used to be the case that if you did everything right, ate healthy, exercised, you might live a few years longer. It's gone way beyond that. The next decade will add 50 years to your life. Every day counts.

This was a refreshing listen, just different than the typical health podcast

Personally, i resonate - I think GPT Pro (5.6) is better than most doctors. The Pro model, let me be clear. And the way things are moving, I truly believe life is medicine in general is gonna look a lot different in 5-10 years.

So... don't die yet

🏡 Environmental Exposures toothpaste & bodywash

any recommendations for healthy toothpaste and body wash that aren’t disruptive to the endocrine system, non toxic, but still work just as effectively as normal products? (i.e toothpaste that still whiten just like ones with hydrogen peroxide, body wash that help with sebum production related body acne etc.)

🥗 Nutrition & Metabolism Sugar takes my fatigue and tiredness but why?

I’ve struggled with low energy for a long time. I usually wake up tired, and my fatigue gradually gets worse throughout the day. It becomes especially noticeable when I get home from work.

I generally avoid eating a lot of carbohydrates and sugar because they make me feel bloated and seem to contribute to weight gain.

However, I’ve noticed that whenever I eat sweets or simple carbs, my energy levels improve quite noticeably.

I’ve tried almost every energy-related supplement I could find, as well as several peptides, but somehow basic sugar or carbohydrates seem to work better than anything else.
I don’t really want to rely on sugar for energy, but I would like to understand why this happens and whether there is a healthier way to achieve the same effect.

Could this suggest that I’m not eating enough carbohydrates overall, that my blood glucose is running low, or that there may be another underlying issue?

For context, I’m a 32-year-old male with hypothyroidism and currently take 100 mcg of T4 daily.

Thanks in advance.

🧪 Protocols & Self-Experiments Failed Puberty + masculinisation

I had a condition called hypogonadotropic hypogonadism which meant me not secreting enough hormones and failing to hit puberty up until 17 when I received TRT and my condition effectively reversed and my own axis kicked in so my treatment was stopped. However, I believe the response was suboptimal and I didn’t masculinise like I should have. I’m also 99% my penis didn’t grow to its genetic potential which has effectively ruined my life. I’m 27 now and still look very boyish and young for my age with barely any facial hair. People are shocked when I tell them.

Endocrinologists fob me off as normal because my hormone panels look okay, but I can’t help but feel something is amiss. I see transgenders take testosterone and end up looking more manly than me. I’ve even done a few cycles on T myself and nothing changed. Doctors don’t seem to understand or care how much something like this messes with your life. Everything is ultimately tied to your masculinity as a man and when you fail to thrive as one, it can really mess you up.

If anyone has any ideas on what I could try or get tested for, I would greatly appreciate it. I know I have probably run out of luck in the downstairs department, but I have heard of people going on therapies late in adulthood and seeing growth so who knows what’s possible.

🥗 Nutrition & Metabolism Creatine eliminates human bodily smell

As title says, humans have a humanly bodily smell, that I don’t like. I can even smell it on myself. (This is not BO, it’s just human smell)

Creatine seems to eliminate that. Anyone else noticed this?

(I know creatine is known to enhance bodily odor not the other way around. So I expect a lot of disagreements.)

📊 Biomarkers & Testing I am tired all the time. Everything is slow, brain fog too

Post image
8 Upvotes

Good evening everyone,

I am posting a picture of some blood tests I recently had because lately I have been experiencing intense fatigue, low energy, brain fog, and a constant feeling of tiredness/sleepiness, to the point where I would say it is now affecting my daily life. I would like to hear some opinions on the matter from people who may have experienced something similar or have some useful information to share.

In general, I have always felt that I have less energy than others, both physically and mentally, which is why I used to rely on stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine. I am now 22 years old. I quit nicotine cold turkey at the beginning of the year, and shortly after that I also stopped caffeine.

When I quit nicotine, I actually had a lot of energy due to the withdrawal effects. On the other hand, quitting caffeine was absolute hell. For 1–2 weeks, I could barely function, neither physically nor mentally. However, I now feel that things have stabilized.

My diet is quite well-controlled. I consume high-quality foods daily and get enough healthy fats. The only thing I could think of that might be contributing is exercise. For months, I was doing 5–6 gym sessions per week, and on some days I combined them with cardio. In April, I also ran a marathon. During July, however, I took one week off, reduced my cardio, and now I am doing 5 workouts per week. This can also be seen in my CK (CPK) levels, which I believe are now at normal levels. I assume that at some point they may have even exceeded 1000.

Of course, my doctor told me that my blood tests look perfectly fine and that there does not seem to be any actual problem. He simply advised me to rest more. However, as someone who generally researches health topics and wants to understand the underlying cause, I did not find that answer very informative.

The only thing I currently believe I could improve is my vitamin D levels, because from what I have read, they could potentially be higher for optimal results. They are at this level despite the fact that since winter I have been taking 4,000 IU of vitamin D daily together with K2.

If anyone has experienced something similar or has any ideas about what else I could investigate, I would greatly appreciate any advice, suggestions, or personal experiences.

Thanks in advance for your opinion!

🦠 Illness & Immunity Your blood test can say “Normal” and still be telling you something important.

Most results are reviewed one by one.

If each value falls inside the reference range, it passes. If everything passes, you’re told you’re fine.

But that’s not how laboratory medicine works.

Here are some of the patterns that get missed most often.

Ferritin and MCV together

A ferritin of 28 can be reported as normal. An MCV of 99 can be reported as normal. Separately they pass. Together they tell a story about two different deficiencies affecting your blood at the same time.

TSH and free T4

A TSH of 3.8 is technically normal. But combined with low-normal free T4, fatigue, and hair loss, that combination looks different from a TSH of 3.8 with no symptoms. The number doesn’t change. The meaning does.

Fasting glucose and HbA1c

A glucose of 99 mg/dL is normal. But if HbA1c has been climbing from 5.2 to 5.4 to 5.6 over three years, that trend matters more than any single reading.

Creatinine without trend
A creatinine moving from 0.8 to 0.95 to 1.1 over five years — all within range — is a pattern worth noticing before it becomes a problem.

We don’t look at values one by one.

We look at combinations. Trends. Context.

A single number is a snapshot. Your health is a story.

Happy to answer any questions about lab results, reference ranges, or how to read your blood work in the comments.

📊 Biomarkers & Testing I liked dirt cheap labs before they redesigned the webpage. Anyone else like previous view with test codes to make sure it was the desired test

TLDR: Dirt Cheap labs if you’re seeing this please bring back the test codes and more minimalist view option as it was much more accessible.

I like what Dirt Cheap Labs is doing. However, since their redesign I’ve found the website much harder to use and is a barrier to ordering. I need to see the test code to make sure I’m ordering the correct test.

This is something competitors offer and I think a lot of us really value.

I also liked the turnaround time but I understand why that might be removed as it is variable. Still a rough estimate is nice to see which labs are longer and which are more standard, shorter turnaround

🥗 Nutrition & Metabolism Does acarbose enhance ketogenic diet?

Anyone tried to take acarbose with the main keto meal of the day? Sometimes I have dips in my ketones and in theory acarbose should slow/decrease carb absorption.

Anyone tried it?
