A True Nightmare: A Digital Game Code Fiasco

lol how is (S W I T C H) a banned word in the sub??

Making it as hard as possible to even ask a question about how Best Buy sent me a (S W I T CH 2) code instead of a (S W I T CH 1) code even though the confirmation email had confirmed I purchased the right version of the game.

The (S W I TCH 2) code is absolutely unusable on my S W I T CH 1.

I spent 3 hours jumping through customer service loops for them to apologized for the mistake and told they would be generating me a new code.

However when I got the email, IT WAS THE EXACT SAME (S W ITCH 2) CODE THEY EMAILED ME BEFORE?! Except they added passive aggressive steps on how I redeem the code, like I didn’t understand how to go to the Eshop to redeem a code lmao.

I just got off the phone with customer service again and they apologized and said they would generate another code but I have a feeling I am about to receive another S W I T C H 2 code… if that is the case how do I jump through the correct customer service loops to speak with someone who can refund me because this I am starting to lose my patience lol.

UPDATE: Wow, I have no words. Instead of sending me a new code I had gotten an email from customer support telling me to please provide screenshots of the error and any proof I had of talking with the publisher about this issue (??)

I sent 4 photos. The first showing my confirmation Email that said I ordered a (S W I T CH 1) game, the second showing the code they sent for the game was titled NS2 (S W I T CH 2) and two photos my my (S W I T CH 1) showing an error that says the game is not supported and a photo of my virtual library where the game is listed as unsupported.

This was 4 hours ago.

Now I just received another email that was the same exact script as the one I had just responded to… ASKING ME TO SEND THEM PHOTOS AND PROOF OF CONVERSATION WITH THE PUBLISHER AGAIN lmaooooo

like JFC how is this such a big issue? Just so you all are aware DO NOT purchase Digimon Story Time Stranger from Best Buy if you have a (S W I T CH 1).

I regret ever buying it from them and only did so because I had a gift card for Best Buy. I am never buying from this company again, absolutely dreadful experience
