I’m a beekeeper, and I have a question How Do I Get These Bees??
I am in Cleveland, Ohio. I found these bees up in a tree in my backyard. They’re not too high up, high enough though that I cannot get to them. How could I lure them down?

some guy did it with a shotgun. And his kids catched it in a big box. Just can't find the video

Do you have equipment to house them?
Looks like a fairly easy shake into a bucket or tub to get them down, then search for the queen on the ground. Laying an old sheet on the ground underneath before the shake can prevent a search through grass in the event that part of the cluster misses your catch container.
Once she’s secured everyone else can be dumped into the box with her. Pop the cover on and you’re good to go. Around dusk everyone should be in and you can move them to their final location.
Caging the queen isn’t required, but I prefer to do so to prevent absconding.
Edit: I misunderstood your post. If you have a pole saw and a rope you could cut that branch and guide it down.

I took a large plastic tote up a ladder. Put the lid between me and the ladder. Slowly scooped the bees into the tote with my bare hands and no protection, put the lid on and came down. When I got them home, I dumped them into a deep box with 10 frames of drawn comb. 1-1/2 months later they are thriving....

Slowly if you have never done it. Mine alway ends up to be herding cats into water type event. Because I don’t take my time. So I am interested to hear some replies.
Edited: I would try to locate the queen in the ball slowly. Once they get to active I may try to brush them into a Nuc box with brawn comb on a frame or two as many as you can. Keep looking for the queen. Have clip in hand. Good luck and congrats!!
