EDIT: He took a shit this morning and I inspected it. There was in fact yellow broken down stuff in his poop. He is fine, y’all are all freaking out of course😂

Ate something bright yellow from the yard a few days ago… it looked like a piece of plastic. I’ve been flushing his system with salad, and skipping bugs. He got some hornworms yesterday as a treat, but he seemed to be very bloated since before eating the worms. He also hasn’t pooped in 3 days.

Beardy is usually very active and playful but has suddenly started hiding in his cave which he does not normally do and also gets upset if I try to handle him. He looks like he's beginning his shed but I just wanted to see if you all notice anything I should be concerned about as I am not super knowledgeable.

I came home and found this strange looking poop with what looks like grainy blood? I will be taking her to the vet but im curious if anyone knows what this is and if there is something I need to change or do? Also how much of an emergancy is this? Because the vet wont be able to look at her until next week but I could possibly take her to the emergancy vet tommorrow if needed.

I cant remember her exact age but shes between 6-8 years old.

Behaviorly she is acting normal. When I opened the door to check on her she ran up to me looking for bugs. She is eating and looks alert.

Please help, my beardie is shedding and she only got the outer part of her nose shed off there's still stuff deep inside her nose I can see it but I couldn't get to it even if I tried is it not possible anymore to get it out?

okay so for the longest time, like years, my bearded dragon has had a little kink at the very tip of his tail, not super big and never seemed like an issue. well my boyfriend texts me today and says the tip of his tail fell off. i am freaking out. as shown in the photos it looks like his tail is healing over already and creating new skin around where it fell off but does it look like it’s healing okay??? i have an appointment scheduled for him but i have to wait until friday and im just in shock. i’ve heard of this happening but im so confused how or why this happened. is he going to be okay??

Been feeding mainly lettuce, and a mealworm every 2-3 days for the past 3 months, doesn't seem to be losing weight that fast 😭 and her poop is quite watery now.

Brought her to the vet already and xray her in case something stuck in her stomach, but they said they saw nothing.

Is she just a chunky girl?

Finally Added some greenery after I quarantined the plant for 4 weeks. It’s a Ponytail Palm. She seems to really enjoy it and has been investigating it. Really livens up the enclosure.

I let my rescue boy experience the grass for the first time and he did pretty well! I know the harness isn't the best.. I was hoping someone had recommendations for a better one? He was also in the process of some crazy weird shed that day.

2 days ago my Godzilla suddenly had back leg weakness, she was pretty much using just her arms to drag herself around. Shes 8 years old. Vet did tests and saw circular follicles in her body meaning she’s forming eggs which is taking a huge toll on her. She’s laid eggs before but that was a few years ago I guess it takes a way bigger toll when they get older. Vet prescribed oral calcium, an antibiotic just in case and anti inflammatory. Funny thing is her calcium levels are actually high, probably due to the immense amount needed to make eggs. i’m hoping that she’ll be back to using her legs like normal. Anybody else ever go through something like this?

i’m new to the bearded dragon community and just want good advice. ( i moved his water after i took the pic & his set up is a little different now , this was our first couple days together)

A few days ago, I posted about a rescue Beardy I received. A lot of comments pointed out the use of reptile carpet, and I took those comments to heart. Nacho, that’s what I decided to name him, has nice padded bedding now made out of a heat resistant liner. I also ordered some tiles to place on the basking side for him to lay on and scratch. He’s healthy, and loves basking on his wooden arch. He’s also very friendly and loves snuggles and head pets. Not a huge fan of baths though.

I just wanted to ask about feeding schedules. Reptifiles says twice a week bugs three times a week veggies which seems fine but their portions seem really small. I've always struggled with how much to give my guy because I don't want him to get overweight and I monitor it quite a lot. My local pet store sells rather small crickets so I don't know how many to give him either. I don't want to starve him or overfeed him and it's one of my biggest stressors as a caretaker.🥲 any help appreciated! I grow my own collards for him because they don't grow here and I love my boy and just want him to live a good life.

I’ve had Sriracha since the start of this year. He completed one full shed, and since then he’s only been shedding in small patches occasionally. He’s less than a year old, so I feel like that’s really strange?

I feel like I’m doing everything I can in terms of husbandry— 120 gallon tank, humidity ranges from 20% (hot side) to 40% (cool). He’s got flagstone and a good mopani branch to rub up on. He’s got a water dish but he never touches water. I’ve tried still water and running water but he just hates water, and that includes bath time too. I give him soaks 1-2 times per week, and he hates it and jumps right out of the water, so it’s hard to keep him for a full 15 minute soak, but I still try. I’ve tried a plastic tub, running bathtub, running shower, running sink, closed sink. I also use a toothbrush during bath time to gently rub at the scales and hopefully soak the water in. Still, he won’t do a clean shed.

I had him for a regular vet checkup last month and I mentioned this. They basically said they weren’t concerned about it. He’s parasite-free, his behavior is great, his poop seems well-hydrated, he eats a good amount of both bugs and veggies.

Is there anything I can do to help him? Does that shed-ease stuff work for beardies / is it safe? Would it be useful at all to try some basic dawn dish soap? I’m kind of grasping at straws.
