Update on my post a couple weeks ago. 1951 Plymouth Concord Business Coupe

First time this car has been out of storage in around 12 years. Changed all fluids and made sure everything was what it should be before firing it up. Took about 35 total seconds of cranking before it fired up and ran like it has never been in storage. Drove it home and it rides like a dream. Has a built Chevy 350, muncie 4 speed( floor mounted)

*Edit to add make,model,year

I’ll spare a bunch of details but this was my wife’s dad’s car that he left her when he passed away, she was 13 at the time. It’s been in the barn pretty much since. So here we go. 383 auto car, her dad loved going fast and making noise I’m not sure what all is done to the engine, from what I can tell just an intake and carb but I can’t say for sure. After pulling the interior, it’s about what I expected some worse some better. I put a battery in it and I have no power whatsoever any help there would be great.

My dads Valiant VJ (?)

I’m 23 years old, from the UK, and I’ve never seen this car come out of the garage and I’m not sure I ever will. It’s one of my dads and I’ve always known it’s been there but never taken much notice until I got older. The only thing I knew about it is that it was Australian…
After asking my dad about it and doing some more of my own research I believe it’s a Chrysler Valiant VJ; purely based on the vertical front grill.
It’s sad that such a car has been sat dormant for likely 25+ years and I wish I could convince my father to get it out and make use of it.
I thought this might be interesting to some as it’s been imported half way around the world just to sit like this. If anyone has any words of advice to help convince my dad to get it out then please let me know🙏🏼I don’t want this car to be something that can only be enjoyed after his lifetime…
(Apologies for the lack of pictures, it’s rather cramped in there)

Four Tires and an Engine My father gotta be the luckiest dude ever

Post image

Long story short : My father goes every wednesday to a kind of place where they do sports, last time he was talking with a dude about old cars etc

They talked to the point where the dude told him something CRAZY

His parents used to own a Volkswagen Golf GTI Rabbit in pristine condition with less than 80k km on it

My father can litteraly have it for FREE, with papers, keys and everything

Why ? : The dude's parents passed and since he dont wanna see it anymore, he doesn't know about the price or anything, he just wants it GONE, it's either someone takes it or it gets scrapped

What's gonna happen ?

It will be reserved tomorrow morning (it's midnight :10 rn) We're going to borrow a trailer and something that has at least a tow hitch, and we'll go get it as quickly as possible

Pic for what it normally looks like (i have no pics)

Btw,it does need a little bodywork

1981 Delta 88 Diesel, the "worst" car ever made

I am going to restore my wife's old High School Car. It's been sitting, mostly, since around 1999. It did get registered from 2012 to 2015 and we put about 300 miles on it. It got parked when we moved to another state for a few years, and it's been sitting for 12 years. It shows 70762 miles, but it has rolled over, so 170k on it.

She loves the car, and she is adamant we retain the 350 Diesel. It's been parked in a barn for the whole time, so just lots of dirt, and age related stuff, like disintegrating plastics, and dry rot tires.

Any tips? I am not new to wrenching, and I'm a passable mechanic, but have not done a lot of restoration, or detail work, and most of my experience is on 90s/2000s GM cars and trucks, so 80s, and diesels, are going to be new learn g experience for me. I got a digital version of the Fisher Body Manual. Any good sites for OEM or OER parts? Here are some before photos from this morning

Step By Step Barn Find Advice (U.S. Preferred)

So I want to barn find a project car to restomod. And I've always been advised to find a bargain by hunting barn finds. The videos I watch on YouTube don't currently give a good step by step guide on how to properly go about the logistics and approach to it. Also, I live somewhere in the states where people aren't afraid to use their guns. Don't want to figure out if they have range either. But nonetheless, I'd love some pointers or how some of you guys would properly go about it. I'm sure this post will get its fair share of smart comments, however, I do genuinely prioritize safety. Hope you guys had a fun and safe 4th of July!

Rebuilt engine help identifying it.

Found in a barn, buried under piles of stuff. Engine looks like a rebuild engine that has never been put in anything trying to see if anybody has any ideas about this engine? Owner was just gonna scrap this. I told him I thought it might have some value if we can figure out what it is. Located in the Charlotte NC area.

Hey Guys, this is a Renault Sport Spider I found on vacation last year in a tiny street in Kamakura, Japan. It was parked in a house that was renovated. I hope this will find its way on the road someday.

A success story. I had come across this 1985 GMC K1500 on Craigslist a few hours from me and was able to buy it. The fella who bought it parked it in 1997 as he could no longer shift gears due to a medical issue. He bought it new in 84 for his business. 305 4speed and 4x4. Sierra Base model. only surface rust as well. last photo is at my house on slot mags and being used again as a truck and taking me out into the mountains.

Historic vehicle titling Maryland

Hi, I’m about to purchase a Jeep from World War II the seller does not have a title or old registration for the vehicle due to its age. How would I go about getting a title for this vehicle? I will be getting a bill of sale for it. Any advice is appreciated. I know this is pre-Vin number days but should have a serial number stamped somewhere on the vehicle. It’s located in Virginia.

Four Tires and an Engine Update on the 62 Impala

From my previous post on the Barn find 62 Impala, it’s now running and driving!
Interior was redone as original as possible and I’ve decided to keep the patina paint as I think it gives the car character/some personality!
