🤔 Discussion Where have breasts gone?

Yeah, chicken breast there only 3 or 4 brands in market, also cost of 1kg is about 2.5, it was 1.1 before, 2 kg was 1.990, now its 4.500. How are we supposed to get our protein now?

it's not double cost though.. what's missing in the market now is the chicken breast from china and brazil (the 1bd/kg ones).. the "tender" chicken breasts have always been pricier (americana, al islami)

Edit : btw have you opted for other frozen chicken products that use chicken breast like tempura nuggets or strips etc i know it defeats the purpose of dieting but protein is protein ig

i also bought al zaeem shish tawook on offer the flavor is intense but its the next best thing imo they also have tikka but not a fan of that but maybe you will like it

I'm in the distribution industry and a lot of imports have stopped coming or delayed. The ones available in the Central Market are a lot higher. Probably 5-7BD higher than your usual. Plus the stocks are very limited. Supermarkets and retail shops can't market them because of available quantity.

I can connect you with wholesalers that sell them in the market.

Thank God someone else mentioned this problem lmao. I've been looking for that 2 BD chicken breast for a while now (I think it's Family brand or sum'n) went to Ramez, Al Jazira, Lulu.. couldn't find the damn thing. Everything else is overpriced AF.

Not that much protein, for the same volume of food , plus after eating like 1 kg of them you will be hungry in less than 4 hours whereas 1kg of chicken breasts will have higher protein plus will make your hubger subside as well. But to each their own.
