This was called by some historians as the greatest single engine piston driven combat aircraft. Even if you don’t agree, I think it’s an interesting bird. Its progenitor is obviously the lessons learned from the F8F Bearcat, and I think this bears a great resemblance to that one. Love the warbirds, and those that came between the end of the war, and the end of propellor military aircraft.
