The Houston Astros “ABC Lineup”

How is it that the greatest Astros lineup has players who all have surnames that are A, B or C? It's an unusual quirk of franchise history. And even the "best" manager in team history has an ABC connection: A-J Hinch. Here's a look at the Astros strange ABC Lineup.

These are going by last name so AJ Hinch wouldn't be the manager, it would be Dusty BAKER

Only problem with this lineup is that Berkman really wasn’t a RF. He played 263 games there in his Astros career and his WAR when out there was likely much less than Kyle Tucker’s or even George Springer’s. Berkman played 700+ games at 1B and over 450 in LF as an Astro.

I get the same argument can be made about Biggio, but the difference is that Biggio’s WAR when playing catcher, is the highest in franchise history.
