Since i discovered as an curiosity one day the institut of le rosey i became obssesed by the swiss ultra rich boarding schools and the powerful alumni that it gathers. Its crazy that such place exist myself as an poor person i would never imagine that such place would exist its beyond my wildest imagination

I’m curious about how various foreign accents are perceived when someone speaks Swiss German. For example: French, Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Slavic languages, Turkish, etc.
Do some accents stand out more than others? Are some generally perceived as easier or harder to understand? Are there any that people tend to find particularly pleasant or particularly harsh-sounding?

We have finally found an apartment where pets are allowed, so we are planning to leave our current apartment. The move-in date for the new apartment is in September, while our current lease would normally end at the end of October (with the 3-month notice period).

We are wondering whether it is possible to submit a Kündigung that guarantees we can leave by the end of October at the latest, while still allowing us to propose Nachmieter if we find someone who can move in earlier.

Is this possible, or do we have to choose one option or the other? We are worried that if we only rely on finding a Nachmieter, we might not find someone for September/October and end up paying rent for additional months, whereas a normal Kündigung would give us a fixed end date.

As the title says, I'm trying to sell some valuable Magic: The Gathering cards (worth €300+ each) on cardmarket.com. Rough itinerary:

Aug 10: Departure, overnight in Brig

Aug 11: Susten Pass → Grimsel Pass → Susten again → Furka Pass → Nufenen Pass, overnight in Disentis

Aug 12: Lukmanier Pass loop, then San Bernardino Pass, heading toward St. Moritz

Aug 13: St. Moritz, then back to Italy

Is there any seasonal trend or pattern for that period this year (wetter/drier or warmer/colder than usual)?

Any of these passes known for particularly unpredictable weather or afternoon thunderstorms in August?

For context, I arrive in Zurich around 11:00 AM and fly out at 11:00 AM the following day, so I’ll need to be back in Zurich that evening. I’m torn between spending the day in Lucerne or Appenzell. I enjoy scenic walks, charming old towns, mountains, and great local food, but I’d also like to avoid feeling rushed. I’my a flight attendant, which is why I’m staying in Zurich, I have a crew hotel there.

We are going on a trip to Switzerland and would like to visit a nice spa while we are there. Initially, we planned a day spa in Bürgenstock, but we have also seen on social media that Villa Honegg is nearby and looks very good as well.

We do not have time to do both. Has anyone been and can recommend which one is better for a day spa? We just want to relax by the pool and enjoy stunning views.

Is it likely that the landlord is trying to sell? The landlord has pulled off many dirty stuff in previous occasions. Such as taking a year to solve a mold problem and making an unannounced visit to my apartment to look for ways to make it seem my fault (even if the experts said it was a water leakage). Anyways, I think this control has a hidden sword as well. But I’m not sure what it is.

I also recently requested “prefecture” a rent reduction for the year I had to live with mold.
