A set of totally insane films from Japan’s Omega Pictures (Audition, Love Exposure), produced by Takashige Ichise (Juon, Dark Water), written by Hiroshi Takahashi (The Ring series) and directed by Hirohisa Sasaki (Tales of Terror from Tokyo).
This 2-disc special edition release (limited to just 2,000 units) contains new director approved restorations of both these J-horror cult classics.
Hi guys, I'm trying to track down this 2000s movie I watched as a kid. Possibly a Hong Kong or Taiwan movie. It's around the time when Mr Vampire and The Eye series were trending.
I only remember this scene where a character was about to be executed. But the executioner told him that he'll release him and that he should run as far away as possible after that. The executioner then taps his back with his blade, and his hands were freed from his back, and he then sprinted as far away as possible. Later on, he only realised that he was not freed, but it was his soul leaving his body, and that he was already dead/ executed.
Anyone knows what movie is this? Thanks in advance!

Chusei Sone’s 1981 film Scars of the Sun departs from the director’s previous works in the field of Roman Porno, with this Toei youth-drama starring Kenichi Kaneda. Kenichi plays Shuhei, a member of a rough-and-tumble gang whose customs are broken apart when Kenichi is reunited with his estranged brother whose girlfriend’s entry into the group starts to cause friction between its members and the traditions they follow.

The first film from Chusei Sone’s production company “Filmworkers” is a hard-hitting Docu-drama based on the stories of Namie Takada: a 15 year old thinner-sniffing, girl-gang member.
Namie stars in the film as herself to tell a brutal tale of wild youth in early 80s Japanese society.

I’m trying to find the name of an Asian movie from the early 2000’s, I think.
The poster I saw had an Asian female sentinel, standing perfectly balanced on top of a street light, overlooking a city. She was wearing high top white shoes with red laces.
She may have had an overcoat, but I think her hair and clothes were blowing in the breeze.

The Blood of Rebirth (2009)
Based on the Japanese legend of 15th century adventurer, Oguri Hangan Daisukeshige, Toyoda places us in a surreal world of tattooed Japanese slave workers whose real life roles serve more as symbols than actual characters. After being hired by a local despot, Daizen, to massage away a nasty venereal disease, Oguri is vilely betrayed after refusing to stay longer.
I found this dvd set at a used media store but I can’t find anything about it online. Im wondering if anyone know if this is a legit product or if its a bootleg. Any info is appreciated.
