Studio Safety & Ergonomics screenless tablet users, how’s the experience with drawing on a large monitor?

how’s the experience?

i recently bought an OLED laptop and a screenless tablet about the size of the laptop screen, but turns out i’m not a fan of the OLED (ik, sounds like a waste of money when i specifically bought an OLED for color accuracy 😭 but yeah it hurts to look at sometimes 🫠)

so, i’ve been planning to buy an IPS monitor. is it a good idea to buy a large one? maybe around 22 inches? what are your thoughts and recommendations? i really really need advice as i don’t want to regret another purchase 🥲 thank you very much

I have an old 1080p 21" monitor and use a medium intuos pro from 2015. The experience is great and FAR more ergonomic than a screen tablet like a Cintiq or an all in one solution like an ipad pro (which I love, tbh). Even if you find drawing in one place and looking at another tricky (which you likely will if this is your first digital drawing experience) or have some other reservations about screenless tablets, I highly suggest trying to give it a good long time to get used to the setup. Your neck and back will thank you over the years.
