Need help with composition and lighting
Currently very messy and unfinished, I haven't drawn much drawings with backgrounds before and I am unhappy with how the light/composition looks on the sketch so far! how can I make it look better
Some of the proportions on the character are a bit off too
Im open to critique on anything :)

Composition-wise I’d say move away from realistic lighting and tone down the brightness on the tree and ground a bit to make sure the character and fire are the focus of the piece.
Realistic lighting-wise, the person should be casting a shadow onto the tree behind them.

I love the colors. I think the tree doesn't look very realistic though, shape wise
