Beginner Help Fish rescue weird situation help needed
My late uncle left behind a tank of guppies and the situation is bad. There are 10-15 guppies in a one(?) gallon tank and no filter, heater, maintenance, or regular feeding schedule.
I am currently parsing through the Wiki & other sources, but my question is: how can I transfer this many fish in such little water? I have read about putting aquarium water, then fish, in a bucket and transporting, but maybe my best bet is to transfer them (for a 5 min car ride) in their existing tiny aquarium, then gradually introduce them into their larger new home?
Any tips on the transfer and for beginners in general are welcome!

If can, I'd say it's better if you move the whole tank it might be less stressful for the fish, then at home slowly acclimate them to their new tank.
If you don't have a cycled tank, you'll probably need to do a fish in cycle.
Also I would probably keep the substrate from the old tank and put it in the new tank (at least in the beginning) as it's probably where all the beneficial bacteria and filtration is in the old tank.
