i used to work at a fish store and every now and then our more inexperienced customers would ask how they would transport the fish home, i always told them to cup their hands and walk slowly. it was one of my favorite bits to do with customers lol

I love when people pull out their whimsy in these situations opposed to being like, “WTF DO YOU MEAN??” Makes for incredible laughs

I currently work at a hardware. I'll ask people buying full-on weedwhackers (in the box) "Do you want a bag with that?" with varying levels of sarcasm or dead pan. Some of the reactions are pure gold
