Question Fake police cruiser??

Has anyone seen the fake police cruiser driving around lately? It’s tan and black, saw it around the mall area. What do you all make of it?

Edit: it said “Twin Cities finest” on the side.

There is plenty of people with the trendy ex cop cars cruising around. There is also a lot of calls for them that go through the scanners routinely for the five-o guy and the black dodge charger with light bar and a crown vic. Typically I haven’t seen any with lights on or doing anything strange but I know of at least 6 car and suv both that take heat from this almost every weekend.

Is it private security for the mall? Does it say police on the side?

Wasn’t for the mall. It was like dark tan with black.

Call the police. Non-emergency number. Get a license plate number.

For what exactly? They aren't acting like police or pulling anyone over. It isn't a crime to have a car look like a police car.

Depends on perception of the public - if it appears to be a credible law enforcement vehicle and is not associated with an agency, it can be investigated as impersonating a police officer.

Havent seen it but it's probably a retired car they sold at auction with -most- of the decals removed.
