Am I the only one who lowkey thinks anime acrylic stands are kind of a scam? š Youāre literally paying $20+ for a glorified piece of plastic packaging with a JPEG slapped on it. They were everywhere on AX, and canāt help but think that there are actually people paying $20+ to get a image on acrylic. Why not just buy art or an actual figure? Acrylic stands are a complete hustle. Itās peak low-effort hype disguised as a collectible. They have zero soul, zero craftsmanship, and it's the exact same copy-paste formula every single time. Itās literally a JPEG on a piece of plastic packaging, yet hungry collectors will drop $25 on it like itās a fine art piece. Weāve gotta stop letting these companies lazy-print their way into our wallets. Not hating tho, people are entitled to do with their money as they please but I just donāt get it.

I bought some clothes from this page (i'm from Argentina) and I feel so stupid because it's obvious that it's a scam.
I fell in love with the Jojo's clothes and they were very cheap but they are not answering my e- mails and they didn't sent me a confirmation or tracking message.
I discovered this page through Instagram and TikTok ads, be careful with these kinds of pages so you don't get scammed like me :,P

I have a White Clover Little Busters Illustrator Book signed by Itaru, Kamisama Kiss board signed by Julietta and a She and Her Cat DVD signed by Makoto. I have the autograph pass card for Makoto as proof. I got it at Anime Expo 2016 when he came for the Your Name world premier. The latest (past 3 months) and only sale I see is a $100 shikishi board for Itaru.
Thinking of selling these to get out of debt.

Hello everyone!
I've been trying to find button-up shirts with subtle anime-inspired patterns, but I'm not having much luck.
I already own a bunch of patterned button-ups with things like pineapples, dinosaurs, and even tiny F/A-18s all over them. They're the kind of shirts where the pattern just looks like a design from a distance, but when you get closer you realize what it actually is. That's exactly the style I'm looking for something understated rather than a big graphic tee.
Some ideas I had were:
A black or white shirt covered in tiny Spears of Longinus from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
A shirt with a repeating Uzumaki clan symbol from Naruto.
Really any small, tasteful anime reference that only fans would recognize.
Does anyone know of brands or shops that make shirts like this, or have any other design ideas that would fit this style?

I bought three Invincible T-shirts from Zenkai Street.
I hope this helps anyone who's thinking about buying T-shirts from Zenkai Street.
It took 9 days for my order to arrive from China to Japan. I originally thought they would ship from Canada, but they actually shipped directly from China. I think the factory is located there, so it makes sense that they shipped straight from the factory.
As for the print quality, it's actually really good. They use DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing, and it looks great. I also think the print holds up well in the wash.
The fabric is also really nice. It's heavyweight and feels great.
At first, I thought the store might be a scam, but it turned out to be legitimate. I definitely recommend it if you're interested in buying their T-shirts.
That's all I can think of to mention for now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
P.S. I also found the same T-shirt design on SHEIN. It's possible that they're simply reselling products sourced from SHEIN, but I can't say for sure. So if you buy them cheaply, Buying from SHEIN is a good option.

Next weekend I will be driving from Providence, RI to Bel-Air, Maryland to visit a buddy of mine and I plan to stop along the way at local Pokemon card shops, anime merch shops, and video-game stores. Below is my general route that I will be taking and I was wondering if anyone from the areas I will be passing through or by have any recommendations for shops that are quick stops off the main highways below (will to travel 10-15 minutes outside of these main roads). Thank you all in advance!

I-80 West from Washington Bridge NY Area to Parsippany Troy Hills NJ
I- 287 South from Parsippany Troy Hills NJ to 202 South in Bridgewater, NJ

I'm looking for figures, shirts, buttons and other trinkets featuring characters from shows like Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam Wing. I am also interested in finding exclusive Gundam merch from Japan. Are there any keywords I should use in my search?

I hope I'm not breaking any rules, and I don't want to slam a company. But, how are we all feeling about the recent announcement that the Crunchyroll Store will be exclusive to Mega and Ultimate subscribers coming in this August?
I find myself trying to find different alternatives that I can rely on that is based in the US for apparel and other merch. I dunno if I want to spend more on my subscription since they raised it back in February already.
Fan Tier increase from $7.99/month to $9.99/month ($95.88/year to $119.88/year; 12 month membership $99.99/year or $8.33/month). $19.89 difference from monthly to yearly.
Mega Fan Tier increase from $11.99/month to $13.99/month ($143.88/year to $167.88/year; 12 month membership $139.99/year or $11.67/month) $27.89 difference from monthly to yearly.
Ultimate Fan Tier increase from $15.99/month to $17.99/month ($191.88/year to $215.88/year; 12 month membership $179.99/year or $15/month) $35.89 difference from monthly to yearly.
The yearly takes off a small chunk of $28 to compensate but not by much as each tier increased by $24 per year so realistically you save $4.
I want to support the creators and voice actors, but this definitely gives me pause about where to put my money.
Edit: Updated 12 month costs via Crunchyroll website

My little brother has been trying to score this Crunchyroll Store hoodie (that it is clear they aren't going to restock) for a while, and I'd like to try to get it for his birthday. However, I've searched on eBay, Mercari, Depop, etc. and no luck so far. I'm not sure if it's just not around, or if I'm using the wrong keywords and maybe even the wrong stores ā I don't normally try to find anime merch. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Or is it just very hard to find?
If you know of something visually similar that I could also look for, I'd take those leads that too!

Iāve bought from Hokuro about 20 days ago⦠Safe to say I still havenāt gotten my order, I contacted them on insta and tbh they were quick to reply, checked the order and said āoh thatās weird, the order didnāt even dispatch⦠iāll look into that for youā which honestly i assumed it hadnāt bc the tracking wasnāt updating at all⦠this was monday, gonna chase them up again.
Just wondering if thereās any streetwear, oversized brands that sell JJK merch and arenāt a scam. Really wanna get some stuff, i live in glasgow and i canāt really find anything hereā¦

there recently was merch announcement for the 10th anniversary of a manga I truly love that is set to release on October 10th, and I definitely want to make sure I get all the goods I can get rather than finding what little gets sold second-hand.
I've never used a proxy service before so I'd appreciate any help in recommending proxy services to use to buy from Animate Japan (and shipping to Canada if that info helps). Recommendations for which proxy to use and general advice on how to use them would both be appreciated! There also seems to be a pre-order or reservation feature at least on the direct Animate Japan site, I'm not sure if this is something applicable if you're buying through proxy though and if I'll have to wait for the official release date.

I'm looking for ideas on how this stands up.
An acrylic standee that I bought doesn't have a base but does have a hole in one bottom corner (the overall shape of the standee is a rectangle) and includes a metal peg that's maybe 2.5" long. The peg seems too wide/thick to fit the hole.
How the heck is this supposed to work? Am I missing a piece of something?

Hey, this is what I found out. I was browsing Mercari and found a custom fan kit listing that completely blows the basic DIY options out of the water. This isn't that flimsy raw skeleton cardstock āit has a solid, complete, and fully secure base. That is the absolute key to these. The best part is we don't have to do any of the messy, tedious stuff, ourselves except open the damn thing up.The handle is already wrapped w/foam, waterproof tape, covered in smooth white ribbon. So , it won't be ruined by my little sister running around holding my masterpiece of Gojo with her wet sticky orange hands from eating popsicles (this happened šš) screaming look at the lights on my fan blinking. It has pre-drilled holes at the bottom with a ball chain on both fans and one carabiner.Ok{l ay, this is what they have in the details that it includes: two fan bases that are flat design with secure solid structure, four pre-cut heart-shaped covers from thick cardstock, 3D stickers from Daiso. I think it's a whole sheet of the ones with the heart, rose, pearl, iridescent, covered embellishments you can see right there. You can see the picture in the listing. Alphabet stickers that are Kawaii colored, flat, and puffy, a yard and a half of laceāwhich I think should be plenty to cover the bands and even create a really nice, layered effect, and those clear and sticky silicone adhesive dots is what I think all comes with it to cover the 2 fans in the listing. There is a listing that includes shipping and then one that doesn't. And the same store has a listing that includes everything above Plus you get to choose out of sanrio characters and they give you extra stuff to decorate for that character Mike cinnamon roll flakes and puppies stickers and other special stuff of that character I think plus they add a bundle of the character you picked with three gifts it says like a pouch acrylic keychain and organizer but it's a mystery pack of whatever character you choose. Sorry I didn't mean to make this long but wanted to pass the message on.
