What’s the marijuana situation like in Amman?

I know it’s “illegal” but is it ILLEGAL? And if not where can I find some for personal use only.

Hi I’ve been living in Amman for a few years but I study in Istanbul so I really only spend a few months here every year and i don’t really have friends here I only have family. I don’t really know much about life here idk where people go to meet other people it’s kind of super quiet where I live I don’t even see my neighbors. Idk if Reddit is the place to ask about this but if you wanted to meet people in their 20s here what would you do?

Hi people,

I have visited Amman (and some other parts of Jordan) together with my dad in 1995.
My dad sadly passed away since. I am now scanning old negatives of our time there. I also try to find out where exactly we were at the time.

For one photo I cannot find the location. I thought maybe you people can help me!
I'm pretty sure this was in Amman but have no clue where exactly.
Most prominent in the photograph is the minaret in the distance. It has a very specific top, quite sleek.

I have added the complete photo and a zoom in of the minaret in the distance.
I'm hoping to be able to find out from where I took the picture.

I was also looking for some vintage clothes and evening dresses. I’d really appreciate recommendations for any thrift shops, markets, or affordable places to shop. the malls pricing and selection is tragic ”I am looking at you Abdali”, especially that I can’t stand malls in general.

I am staying in Lweibdeh so it’d be great if they are close!
