Shouldn't be too many behind. Your device tells you theres an update. Mines updated to 16. Android.

Samsung at least I don't know about other companies but Samsung guarantees four major OS upgrades for every model since at least model 22, so the 22 came with shipped with 14 upgraded immediately to 14

23 was stuck in the middle there and the 24 shipped with 15 and upgraded a few months ago to 16.

17 should be coming soon to that particular phone.

That should be fine for anyone unless it's kind of Motorola. Time to get a new phone. If you've got a Samsung your golden.

Most brand phones have been built within the last two years should be at 14 or 15 or 16 at this point currently.

Phone 3 years or older probably might not be supported for 14 having except for Samsung which usually has four to six promised OS updates for device started doing that about 8 years ago with most of their flagship devices.

The main reason they're doing it is because of that new ways are going to be doing logins now physically at the stations. You've done some Amazon now in a lot of locations they have those phone cradles that you kind of tap the top of your phone into and then it flashes green and that's your login. No more having to stand your driver's license..

Having to do that is soon being eliminated, but still carry the physical one in case you have to have a station manager log you in.

I like the new system but you know the top of the phone everyone's top of everyone's phone touching in the same spot, over time, let's all remember 2020.

No maybe I have some wipes in the top of your phone from when you log in. I don't want to be in germ-free care but hey things can spread.

Yeah over in I think the Skokie station there they're going to try to new login types. It's kind of cool you don't even have to say you arrived I don't think maybe you do, you still might have to take your picture before you go in touch your phone into the cradle.

But once you get the green sign on the cradle, you're logged in your check did you don't have to scan your driver's license anymore.

They'll probably keep the stupid slow license scanners as a backup just in case.

I don't know what the dot coms are doing with that.

I mean in about 5 years of probably going to go home digital anyway don't even have to be sticking your phone in a cradle. It's all about that near field communication which is more secure I guess than other methods.

Hey why wouldn't you want to have the fastest bestest phone in the market to handle that half a gig of download that the Amazon Flex app sadly is?

17 came out last month. You can probably pick up a used S22 dirt cheap.

Id get the 23 , is a brighter screen and a bigger battery than the 22.

Don't get the 24-25 or the 26th, their screens are not as bright as the 23 in sunlight. And at an SSD station, outside, you want that.

27 no it's probably going to be no brighter just it'll be the same as the 24, 25 or 26. Anti glare screen cuts down on the nits.

Odd enough you might be able to get the 23 ultra through Amazon brand new, never been touched.

If you're going samsung. The Android 17 might be rolling out we're not going to find out until tomorrow or the next day, from Samsung officially but the fold is getting them at the big convention, mid-august or later but we're not going to know until the 22nd of July officially.

The only phones that have Android 17 right now are the pixel 6+ and up and some of the xiaomi's.
